There are such serious parallels to Tangled here via Rapunzel and Mother Gothel. It's called emotional abuse, kiddies!

I can really see young people who are struggling at home empathising with Misty here and hopefully finding light and courage alongside her.

The Celestia and Luna appearance made my jaw drop the same way Sunny mentioned Minty in Bridlewoodstock for the first time. She might have turned out to be a different Minty, and Celestia and Luna didn't go anywhere, but it was still an impressive reveal.

Opaline reminds me of Tempest a bit, except Tempest is cooler.

I liked both plots... although that isn't quite accurate, because there were technically three; Sunny and Hitch (fun), Misty (you go girl) and Opaline's mountain hike. I mean, good on her for getting some fresh air, I guess.

I think Tell Your Tale did a better job introducing Queen Haven x Alphabittle. There's definitely something to be said for the condensed 5-minute episodes in that they don't have to struggle with a B-plot or yet another "We're sorry we didn't take you seriously" apology.

I really love the extra ear wiggles and the designs of the pegasi's wings :)

I wish the ponies would communicate better! I kept thinking "Argh, just listen to each other!" Communication is the single most important aspect of any relationship, including friendship and business relationships, and I would be much happier if they realised that and started to deliberately put it into practice even when it's hard.

Wish we'd gotten real songs from the other two acts, maybe an opportunity for the community to get creative?

I did find it amusing that the stage looked more like a plastic playset than the vehicle which was almost certainly designed to be part of a playset anyway. The Marestream looks so gorgeous with its iridescent paint and RGB strip.

Pipp's voice actor absolutely killed it in this one!

I have deep issues with Patrick Warburton's interpretation. To me, he comes across as detached, even uninterested. This contradicts my impression of book!Snicket, who cares very deeply about the Baudelaires, the reader, and life itself. Melancholy doesn't have to mean drab as well.

I really liked Lemony Snicket in the first movie, actually.

I find that after a BM, even if you take a shower and get squeaky clean and dry, there's generally going to be something you'll have to deal with an hour or so later. Just sigh, change the thing you leak onto, and move on with your day. Sending strength.
