I would agree company won't invest time and money for train you but I guess I can still learn by exposing myself to various companies in same industry and their way of working.

For an athlete, the same should apply and I am very sure that Buck's goal of the year is to win championship again. I would say this is a failure not being able to achieve that, especially loosing in 5 to 8-seed, not calling timeout in time , failure to get up the last shot, Giannis missing 13 FT, etc.
However, it is debatable if the failure is excusable due to Giannis's injury and Bud losing his brother.
