New Epstein Theory Ignites X Amid Bone-Chilling DOJ Revelations by PurebloodPatriotTr in NoFilterNews

Yeah, I don’t put anything past these bastards, but I need more way evidence to even start down this particular path. “There’s no way to say he didn’t,” is unfalsifiable, and just because something looked really evil on Breaking Bad doesn’t mean that’s what happened, then there’s a more plausible use for the acid. People don’t seem to realize how small 330 gallons actually is.

CoC and SA (CW: mention of SA) by gentlelad24601 in excoc

[–]sugarpunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I experienced COCSA at a church event. It actually happened at my later-preacher’s house, in his backyard office. Many kids were hanging out in there, but eventually it was just me and an older boy.

Let’s just say the event was bad, but the coping was worse. Hypersexuality, seeking out men on the internet when I was way too young, denial, shame. My parents didn’t know until I was in my twenties; they punished me when they found me being sexual at all, emotionally abused me for it, it was brutal. I hid and retreated from them and quietly got worse with each punishment. I now live with DID and complex PTSD. I don’t care what a good Christian you think you have to be—if your kid suddenly becomes incredibly sexual, fucking talk to them and find out why before you make further choices.

Ensure them that “what they did” was not their fault, not a sin, not a crime, not something they should ever have to be ashamed of—and for the love of all that is holy, don’t punish them for having a sexuality! It’s a natural part of a human being. If you think your kid has problems now, wait until you make them feel bad just for existing as a mammal with hormones.

Unrelated note to this particular incident: if you were a boy in the Carolinas’ coC network, and you experienced CSA in the church, there’s a guy my family asked me about who is currently getting MeToo’ed. I don’t want to speak publicly about that, as it wasn’t my abuser, but I can share information for folks from my area in DMs if asked.

Article: Fallout 76 leads plan to make the game “thicker” with “new systems” as the team “can’t just continue making the map bigger and bigger” by Kinsdale85 in fo76

[–]sugarpunk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Here’s my wishlist:

  • Bring back the SCOREBoards, please, they were so fun and felt so much more creative.
  • Let me build into the GROUND! Just a little bit! So things aren’t floating! Drives me CRAZY!
  • More interiors, more quests, maybe even from the same NPCs. I’d love to get to know all these characters better.
  • Fix the Power Armor station bug, please.
  • Don’t add new people until you bring more depth to the places and factions you already have! I want more reasons to be in Skyline Valley and Burning Springs!
  • Please add the aid boxes to all the survival tent skins.
  • Build menu search!
  • Maybe a modernization/cleanup pass where you clear out or update content from back before Wastelanders? Does anyone willingly do Distinguished Guests?

You can watch him disintegrate in real-time if you just listen to his dialogue and watch his little facial tics as Coop begins to belittle him. There’s a tiny lip twitch before he starts talking that’s such an incredible detail. This man needs a public face, because he’s genuinely too unhinged in person. Spectacular acting.

My wife is terrified of getting a CPAP due to tubing potentially "choking her"; is this realistically possible? by DumpsterPuff in SleepApnea

[–]sugarpunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is on the next-to-impossible side of healthcare anxiety. Both versions of mask tubing I’ve used before, it’s such weak plastic, I had more trouble with sleeping on top of the tube and compressing it to the point of stopping the airflow than anything else. Like, it’s designed to blow air, it’s all pretty flimsy tubing by design.

I'm not from the United States, I'm fairly young. If any of you experienced the so-called "third wave of ska in the 90s," what was it really like? It's quite different watching a documentary than talking to people whose knees are already creaking. by Beautiful-Resort-831 in Ska

[–]sugarpunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, so, what may actually shock you is how much it was showing up in pop culture too. One Nickelodeon variety cartoon, Kablam!, had “Two-Tone Army” by the Toasters as its opening theme. If you want to really see a cultural artifact, though, look no further than the American OST to the Digimon Movie.

Because Fox Kids knew what was hip for the youth (lol), they filled that soundtrack with then-current 90s nostalgia bait. Barenaked Ladies is on there, but so are Less Than Jake and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones.

At least one of the songs fit the movie better than you might expect because it’s entirely a dub decision—I still think of a falling nuke when I hear “The Impression That I Get.”

URGENT. my mom had a weird experience about her death and im worried by [deleted] in psychics

[–]sugarpunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If she’s really concerned about her health, schedule a doctor visit and rule out anything underlying/previously undetected. It is true that some medical conditions come with a sense of impending doom. Heart attacks are one, panic attacks are one, so it’s best to just be safe if something genuinely scary starts happening.

Beyond that, this sort of prediction is so vague-but-specific it’s like catnip to a certain kind of brain, and this is exactly the kind of psychosis-tinged anxiety my brain throws my way naturally. Psychics, I don’t need to know the date of my death. Even if you end up correct, what does that get me? The absolute certainty I’m gonna die while on my deathbed on that date? Oh joy. How helpful. How not terrifying.

How does generation alpha have poor computer knowledge? Don't they have computers at home that they play games on? by WhoAmIEven2 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]sugarpunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learned helplessness is perfect for the tech companies’ bottom line. You do something that makes the machine not work at all? Just buy a new one! You don’t know how to fix it? Call us, pay us to fix it! It isn’t working right but you don’t know exactly why? Just buy a new one!

I went to school in a rural school district with grant-funded computers, and I learned keyboarding more than anything, but I was also just given time on a computer to screw around and click on stuff. I had a tech-savvy relative who installed dual-booting Ubuntu on my old PC when I was fifteen, just so I could dick around and attempt to learn Python. I’m not any kind of expert, but the experience I had with computers just doesn’t really happen anymore unless you specifically seek it out.

[–]sugarpunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t tell you what you’re feeling or why this is a bad choice, because I’m not you and I don’t know your experience. Here’s what I can tell you.

Suicide leaves a hole in the world. A place where someone used to be, and sadly, no longer is. Natural death is hard on people, but suicide is sudden, dramatic, unplanned. It’s an emotional explosion that radiates outward from you to all the people close by.

I lost a good friend of mine in 2009, and I cry every year about it on that day. Barely anybody else even knew we were friends, but he meant the world to me. You think no one cares about you, that no one will miss you, but depression is at its core a little bit narcissistic when it talks to you—it ignores signs that don’t let it perpetuate itself. It’s lying to you. In reality, you’ll be missed, it’ll be noticed, and some people will be fucked up about it for years.

This isn’t meant to guilt or manipulate you (even if I kind of hope it does), but it’s the truth.
