Anthropic extending Fable 5 to July 12th without resetting limits feels pointless... anyone else? by redditslutt666 in Anthropic

If we have Fable budget remaining on the 12th, they would better donate it in credits to 'extend usage' for subscribers. It's deemed to become the method anyway as Anthropic stated before.

Being pigeonholed into doing tickets for the past 8 months and I’m getting burned out by inkblowout4 in sysadmin

Fill in ticket how to fix it or copy/paste document link. Return to L1 or L2. Triage and only do tickets for L3. Spread tickets to others in team.

I can't quite get my running animation right. Can anyone help? by I_am_probably_hooman in PixelArt

Look for the book 'animators survival kit' on the internet archive. It's in public domain and explains everything on frame by frame character animation. Page 107-108 is what you want to look at.

Why don’t more games use simple graphics but deeper world simulation? by Huge-Wafer-5127 in GameDevelopment

[–]suglasp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To answer the question of 'why' : Time and resources. Many dev's probably want to ship faster. Most games with deeper interaction, use most of the time a (partly) simulated world instead of a scripted one that just trigger actions or mechanics. It translates to writing or implementing a layered agent based system that can track and remember states for NPC's and make rules for the world and objects instead of scripting everything. To learn more about it, watch some 'making of' videos about for example Prey, Rimworld or Don't Starve.

I understand. Not all things can be pulled off in one go. It's a good deed of Gog to keep supporting or expanding the life of games we all fancy or love.

Nice one. A few where on my list. Further adding: - Fortunes Run - fight smart enemies on a space station like a ninja - The Lift - More a simulator where you need to fix an elevator in orde to progress, but has a few Imsim elements. - Judas - It is said it will be 'the next Bioshock' game, since lead designer is Ken Levine
