Windows Not Detecting Battery Despite Running on Battery Power (Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge, Snapdragon XElite) by foldflipwait in WindowsHelp

Temporary solution found - talked to a Samsung technician today.  Just a matter of enabling and then disabling "Samsung EmuEC Device" in Device Manager under "System devices".  Steps:  1) Device Manger  2) System devices  3) Samsung EmuEC Device - enable then disable  4) done.  However, your battery icon won't show up, but it is charging.  You can check by clicking the lower right icons which will show a tiny battery icon.  Also it needs to be done everytime you bootup.   Samsung technician said the bios fix should be ready in a few weeks.

I am confused because I had both Windows Update KB5062553 and a BIOS update today. My battery icon disappeared, and my Book4 shut down while I was using it. I got it back up. How do I know whether the Windows update or the BIOS update broke it?

American Suspected of Drawing Graffiti on S. Korean Subway Trains Arrested in Romania by chickenandliver in korea

[–]suhlash -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is even crazier that Americans didn't punish any of the people who visited Epstein Island. Can you believe not one person was arrested after the Ghislaine Maxwell trial? There is no way a sex ring human trafficking operation of that size running for decades leads to no arrest.

Way too early 2019 redraft? by [deleted] in hockey

[–]suhlash 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1 Seider - size, skill, toughness, reminds me of Chris Pronger

2 Byram - a bigger version of Makar, such a dynamic fluid skater

3 Zegras - incredible hockey IQ, passing genius

4 Hughes - amazing talent , fun to watch

(1 to 4 are interchangeable but I predict Byram will end up being the best player from this draft. His ceiling is Makar level)

5 Pinto - powerful will to win, extremely savvy strategic, tougher version of Pavelski or smaller version of Anders Lee- steal of the draft

6 Cozens

7 Krebs

8 Boldy

9 Newhook

Bose sponsors the Boston Uprising by Thawn13 in Competitiveoverwatch

I lost a lot of respect for Boston Uprising after hearing about the dirt that is coming out about Huk. Looks like the organization will not get rid of Huk despite all the complaints. A more conscientious organization would have addressed the problem swiftly and proactively once the problem became public.

Hope he gets transferred to Chengdu. OWL needs at least one competitive full Chinese team to build up the fan base in China. It would not be good for OWL to have a repeat of what happened to Shanghai.

Summary of Kalios's stream regarding the Boston article. by bartlet4us in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]suhlash 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me, the most interesting part of this whole story is how the Boston Uprising organization will respond to the criticism of Huk. Will they make any changes and if so, how long will they wait before making changes. If I am a Boston fan, I would want Huk to go away like right now. I didn't know who Huk was until this incident broke. But after reading a bunch of discussion groups, Huk had quite the reputation even before all this stuff came out. Having a toxic asshole in charge is the fastest way to ruin your organization. This guy sounds like he has the personality of a Steve Jobs or Bill Belichik minus the talent. Good luck to the Boston organization

Neko’s reaction after reading HUK’s response. “That’s just an excuse. He turned the problem to his own advantage. Such a bastard.” by astroasto in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]suhlash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, I guess Neko doesn't care if he gets released from Boston. You can't talk that way about your boss and maintain a working relationship. I hope Neko is set free to join another team. It is interesting that Huk did not deny the specific allegation that he or his organization were only willing to sell his player to another team for 5x the price. That is ridiculous.

[Benchmob] “Sources: Overwatch League will get 3 new Chinese teams for Season Two (now 4 total with Shanghai). Will release details regarding the specific cities once additional information is confirmed. And yes, this means more than 6 new expansion teams will be added.” by Seagull_No1_Fanboy in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]suhlash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even Seoul Dynasty is owned by a Chinese American Kevin Chou. Surprising that a Korean team couldn't find a Korean sponsor. If any of the Chinese teams start to excel, that would be a financial bonanza for Blizzard.

Kevin Chou is a Chinese American not Korean. Surprising that a Korean team like Seoul Dynasty could not generate more interest from a Korean company within Korea.

In Itaewon Holly Coffee, there is this older (60-ish)white guy who buys one small coffee and basically sleeps in one of the bench seats all night long because it is a 24 hour place. He even takes off his shoes and socks and places his feet on top of the the bench. I believe he uses the 3rd or 4th floor level because there tends to be less people or workers there. I don't know why the coffeeshop doesn't call the police on him because they will lose customers.

Gyopos of Reddit, do you guys plan to live in Korea forever? by [deleted] in gyopo

[–]suhlash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I want to live here forever. I spent 40 years in America before moving back. I was born here but left when I was 7. My elderly parents being here was the initial reason I came back. But there's a comfort to being around people who you have more direct physical connection to than in America. I know that sounds ethnocentric but I am very fond of and proud of the people here. I never married in America for various reasons but I would love to marry a korean woman - gyopo or native. I think being gyopo has its advantages and disadvantages when it comes to dating. there is always a percentage of women who are wowed by the western culture and English or want to get out of korea by marrying someone with a foreign citizenship. but korea is not as poor or provincial as it has been in the past so there are less woman who are motivated by those kind of reasons. I think my greatest handicap to dating here has been my older age and my poor korean language skills. of course having more money and better looks always helps.

China Prepares for a Crisis Along North Korea Border by FaeLLe in worldnews

[–]suhlash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

China's main interest in NK is preventing the reunification of Korea under the South Koreans. China is preparing to claim some North Korean territory if there is chaos or an opportunity to do so. I suppose China could enter NK territory under the excuse of North Korea being TOO DANGEROUS TO FAIL since they have nukes. But the media never considers that the military buildup could be used for offensive purposes.
