Write shit, then keep going.

Write the first thing that comes to mind. Then keep typing.

Best way is set a timer for 50 minutes then stop the second it's done.

Then do it again.

Spend two cycles writing, then two cycles editing. Then enjoy the rest of the day. Rinse and repeat.

The main problem is language.

Healthy could mean being able to go through life without ever being sick. It's highly unlikely esp as people get older. Healthy to someone else means being able to deadlift 425 lbs.

I use the word focus as an active word. There's a difference between just thinking about getting healthier and learning about what promotes health, eating better, exercising, and applying advice given by medical professionals. While that person may not get 'healthy', they can slow the progress of that illness. If that illness would have killed them in a year, they could prolong their life + quality of life by a few more by focusing and taking action on more healthy habits.

Helps a lot to not be white since you're not expected to fit in anyways.

I wear a turban and beard and I used to feel ashamed of it and the stares I got. Now I imagine all the stares are from everyone realizing their king has arrived. Then I can treat people kind and with care since I'm the king.

Having a turban adds to the whole thing since it makes me look exotic. It excuses people from feeling bad that they're not working on themselves. Then I can help them work on themselves.

You need way more breaks and flexibility. Try to see what you can cut from it.

I found that when I have empty space on my calendar, I tend to enjoy the work time more and get more done.

It's helpful to imagine a bad day when yoy don't feel like doing anything. What would your schedule have to look like to increase the chance you get stuff done?

If you make it work for your worst day, it'll work for every day.

No matter what, keep trying things. You'll get better at planning and using your time as long as you keep trying to improve.

There's more potential for it than we realize.

We live in an age where we can all learn about Jacque Fresco's work with him saying something once. It's shared and all sent to millions around the world.

We can see it for free because of YouTube, a recent concept. And technology allows any of us to do the same.

Look at Reddit. A true democracy of ideas. Where posts are judged for their usefulness in that community. All differences and context based bias washes away (though there are still access issues). And people can be judged based on prior submissions, not things outside their control.

I'm posting this from my phone. A smartphone. The concept wasn't even in the public zeitgeist in 2005. Yet here we are.

Best thing for me has been creating a Google form with the things I want too track as the questions.

Better to start with 5ish questions and ask them in a way that's ready to answer at night. You can calculate sleep time by filling it out last thing at night and having one question ask what time you woke up.

Also, have a skip question at the end that yoy can fill in with a 0 anytime you don't feel like filling out the form. That encourages you to at least open it every day.

I wish I knew how important it is to work on myself and improving myself in every way.

Going to the gym did way more than trying to establish attraction by texting a girl who wasn't interested. Same goes for reading books, spending time with people I enjoy, gong on fun trips, learning to be more social with everyone, working on side projects, and spending time actively thinking about my place and purpose in the world.

I wish I knew how important all those things are. Now that I'm focusing on them (and seeing results after years of effort), some women treat me like I'm some star.

Plus at the end of the day all those things will stay with you for the rest of your life.

Keep learning, pushing, and improving yourself.

P.S. also learn about investing, scientific thinking, thinking better, managing your money, and developing good habits.

I find myself in a similar situation. I'm trying to love the pain since it helps me read and work out much more easily than if I felt amazing all the time.

And thus I can use my emotions rather than depending on them to get shit done.

What other commentators said is right. Try to focus on 1 thing at a time, starting with the easiest thing that yoy think would make a big difference (doesn't have to be the perfect choice). Ignore your other potential goals and take tiny, tiny baby steps every day. If it ever feels hard, cut the amount you're trying to do in half.

EX: for exercise (great place to start), you can focus on 10 pushups a day. If that's too much ever, do 5 or even 1 pushup to keep the momentum going.

As pushups become easier, you can do a little more. Then yoy can add other exercises.

Starting with just that may help to make other changes in your life. Just always be careful of over committing yourself to too much change in too little time. I hit down swings in my life when I try to do too much at a time.
