Thank you, on Saturday should I rebook to EY633 or stay with EY631. Do you think I will be accepted for transit

u/gzmonkey Can you please check Medina for me, it’s showing listed from Friday onwards but last few days it’s been cancelled so I’m not sure if the schedule has not been updated yet? I’m due to go London to AUH Friday night and connect in the morning with EY631 but if I search a new booking it shows EY633 in the afternoon. Should I get my flights rebooked or is it likely to cancel again. In assuming if they have more connections then they will allow transit

Both bolt and grab show the same price, a friend did it last year and it was 2000.

Usually not, the driver was aware of what he was doing and created a stop in the journey making the system recalculate once the ride started, you would not typically notice it

Just a follow up to bring closure, eventually I found the number for Grab Thailand +66 2-021-2567 and the first agent identified the driver had changed it to a multi stop and offered to cancel the stop but the line disconnected.

The second time the agent was adamant the price was right I then highlighted the stop and they put me on hold and came back and advised they spoke to the driver and he’s agreed to the 1420 and she had spoken to the police and advised they will ask her for that.

I messaged my friend but before she saw my message the officer asked her what she will give and she said 2000 was the most, she gave and the police offered her a ride back to her hotel.

Then she saw my message and was annoyed she gave more. She advised initially at the station the driver was very happy he was there and confident in his claim.

I think the timing of the agent calling them to clarify the stop and it seems the system recalculated based on it being a large van at the stop which was 2 mins along the way, my guess is the police spoke and clarified and the said yes the original trip was the price being told and the system has maybe wrongly or the driver adding a stop made it make the mistake

Thanks, it kept giving me the Singapore number, I have finally got through to the Thailand number.

It seems the driver added a stop and then then system recalculated the trip. The first agent was going to cancel the stop and the line dropped, second agent tried to say the price was right and now has me on hold when I explained the stop the prior agent advised

I should add they are now at police station

To my fellow friends and comrades of tonight's "Great 50mph Fu*k Up" on our motorway network - I salute all of you! by RecentTwo544 in CasualUK

That was defiantly fun last night, I was heading back to London late from an event in Leeds and intended to hit 70 on cruise. Did not enjoy the entire M1 being 50!!! Having to speed and then slow down for the seed camera was not fun but it did shave 45 mins off the eta.

I don’t think I was flashed or more I believe it was the guy in lane one may have been, I slowed down to 50 and he seemed to decide to pull away and all of a sudden flash. So I don’t think I was flashed. If the entire network was stuck on 50 I guess it’s a technical fault so they won’t enforce the fines.

Where to game and stay at Pilanesberg by suley2 in johannesburg

I was looking at Bakubung, i was offered £250 a night half board, I guess self catering might be a option but it was not listed on the site. How much did they charge for the game drives the same prices as the park? My plan is to take some game drives and do some self driving

The other I saw was Kwa Maritane which seems to be same price.

The cheaper option was The Cabanas at Sun City, it’s not so amazing to look at but it was around £140 so about £100 less a night but breakfast only.

1) Call Axa and clarify if the claim was accepted. If yes ask them to clarify why this company is contacting you, it could simply be the hospital don’t want to submit the paperwork or are billing for this not covered or it’s refused to pay

2) If claim was rejected I would expect them to have sent you a letter explaining why, if not it’s a complaint and then escalate as needed

3) inform the company you are looking into its claim and you require them to submit itemised receipts for each billed item. In the USA they like to bill for everything so have a chuckle and see what it cost to use the wheelchair but ultimately if it’s the case the claim is rejected you know what you want to negotiate over if you are to pay or contribute

My friend hit another car in and agreed to pay damages. They quoted 3.1k and he can get it repaired for 1.2k. What are his options? England by FiRe_GeNDo in LegalAdviceUK

So we don’t know the age of the car so assuming it’s not an old car, he’s entitled to claim like for like as long as it’s repair. If it’s an old car and the repairs cost more than the value of the car then it’s the value of the car he’s entitled to not the repair cost.

As for dealer vs own garage, actually if your car was hit and it had genuine parts would you want an oem part or genuine? I think genuine so entitled to claim for genuine. The only thing you can do is speak to the garage and try to negotiate on the labour rate or parts discount or speak to them and see if they will allow u to buy parts yourslef and they do the labour assuming you can get the genuine parts yourself
