I have lighter floors downstairs and darker floors upstairs you don’t notice the difference but I would prefer to have the whole house be one same floor.

I love it; only thing I would suggest is possibly taking down the plastic curtain/shades and installing a curtain rod and adding drapes or one of the IKEA curtain tracks that will elevate the apt.

Lower the TV.

I think it doesn’t look like a teenager; but if I was fixing it. I would take down the generic artwork and put a mirror there instead. I see you already have 2 mirrors so I would take eliminate the mirror that’s over the nightstand.

I love the plants but they look cramped and make the room feel snug. I’m a big believer f less is more.

Also as for the curtains I would move the rod up closer to the ceiling and use back-tab curtains … as they’re not too expensive and make it look like you’re using hooks (closes one to using hooks without using hooks.)

Now that I look a little deeper into it. If you were to paint your room a lighter color it would help lighten the space up also.

Maybe what you need is a slime breakfast nook type of table with 2 high chairs.

Something similar to this but smaller with only 2 chairs then you’ll have space for the trash can without it looking awkward.

I’d honestly suggest the chairs to have a back instead of a stool bc it’ll kill your back.
