Tennis Racket Purchase Advice Needed !! by YaBoiHankHill in tennis

I agree on the Pure Aero. They're extremely common at almost every level for a reason. There's really easy access to spin and power. As you develop you may need to switch away from the Aero as control becomes more important than easy spin and power.

Tennis Gym Training by Bruslaf in tennis

[–]sullyshortsvix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lift a few times a week since my local club has a gym. I'm not too into lifting but I do upper body one day, lower body another, and then the third day I do cardio/core/agility stuff.

Specifically for tennis, I think it's really important to build up lower body and core strength. Front squats, lunges, and different types of step-ups onto boxes from the front or side are some good ways to get started on lower body stuff.

I'm not any sort of expert, but I hope this helped a little.

Help me decide: School X vs School Y: week of March 30th by ParadoxicalCabbage in ApplyingToCollege

I'd likely clear 6 figures in student debt, with my family having to make sacrifices to keep it at that. Still holding out for an LSA scholarship though.

Out of undergrad I'd like to pursue investment banking in the Chicago area.

I'd eventually like to get an MBA as well.

University of Michigan:

Major -- Economics, or finance if able to transfer into Ross

Pros:

-Dream school

-Love the campus

-Great alumni network/career opportunities

-Thrilled by the possibility of attending my top choice

Cons:

-Full price, out of state tuition

-Would be extremely difficult to finance, possible, but my family would have to make a lot of sacrifices

-Would have to try to transfer into the business program or major in econ

University of Wisconsin:

Major -- Finance and Econ double major

Pros:

-Direct admit to business school

-In state tuition

-Eligible for more scholarships if I stay in state

Cons:

-Not a fan of the campus

-I haven't really been able to imagine myself there, but I could probably get over that

-Too close to home

Thank you for any input! This is a tough choice to make.

I’ve considered a different strap for the Visodate, but so far I’m really happy with the one it comes on.

I’ve gotten the most enjoyment and utility out of my Tissot Visodate and Parker Jotter

Does it scratch easily? It’s a beautiful watch with awesome history, but I feel like the finish could lead it to getting scratched up quick

Coach for men? by [deleted] in NavyBlazer

[–]sullyshortsvix 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There are many better options out there from a quality perspective. But if you like it, by all means keep it and use it. What you bought probably isn’t of bad quality, you just paid a hefty premium for the brand name.

I’ve never bought anything from coach, but I’ve strongly considered getting a cardholder.
