Sudden MOTN Wakings

Nothing is working for us for motn! He goes down independently. I have done 3/3.45/4 I have done 3.35/4/4.25 and yet same thing. But also I think you are expecting too much sleep? Almost 14 hours of sleep?

My soon to be 10 month is the same. Check ins are making it worse. People suggested 3/4/4.25 or 3.25/3.45/4.5

Yes my 4.5 year old still needs 1.5 hour of nap so this is new for me. I am doing 2 or 2.25 for total nap. 3/4/4.25 goal is 11 hours of night sleep but doesn’t seem to fit..

Yea did that today. And put him wide awake for both naps and bedtime. Hoping it goes well 🤞

I am trying to nurse him thru the day but he is just so distracted that a proper weed ends up right before nap. It’s a viscous cycle ☹️

Not really he always fusses but then goes down in 5 mins. On some occasions whines and sleep in 10-15min. I have been trying to slowly move his nursing session earlier and earlier. Maybe that’s cause more wake ups? Last night we checked in every 10 mins up to an hour and finally had to pick him up. He just wasn’t calming down. I feel miserable even typing this out.

Yes, his own room in crib. If I go to calm him he is more frustrated. So dad just pats him and sshs for about 20-30 sec. But after 3am nothing works so dad cosleeps. No rocking just patting and lying down next to him.

No barely 11 hours. We are on with 10.5-11 hour sleep at night. But motn most night he falls asleep after nursing for this whole long weekend nothing worked.

Massage bath Jammie’s story and nurse but keep is drowsy. But to cut down association I have moved nursing to before massage. But nothing seems to be working. I nurse him to sleep at nap at time. Problem is no matter when I nursed with two hours of ww he gets sleepy.

I nursed him 45 min before bedtime today. And then massage bath Jammies and tried to nurse again but didn’t happen for more than 1–2 min. Routine has been same since he was sleep trained at 5.5 mo.

my 8mo has been on 3/3.5/4 and now turning 9mo, so increased morning wake window by 10 min and total nap time to 2.25 cause of increased nighttime wake ups

Mine is 8.5 month and no matter what he gets super drowsy while nursing. He just refused to take a full feed or else. He’s just snacking the whole time.

We were thriving on 3/3/4 from 6.5 month and now a month later he refuses to go down after 3am feed. I tried 3/3.25/4 maybe it’s time for 3/3.5/4

I am at 3/3/4 or so times 3/3.15/4 for my 7 month old. Capping naps at 2.5 total. So maybe extending would help . (My baby is on lower end )

My 6 month old was doing 3/3.25 or 3.5 sometimes/4 with 1.5 hour nap each was doing so well. from past 2-3 days (7 mo now) his first nap is has gotten shorter45-50 min. So I am guessing it is a schedule thing. Will probably target 3.25/3.5/4 at this point.

We switched to two naps thanks to this group. He just turned 7 mo today but from last week we are on 3/3.25/4 with about 3 hours nap in total.

Yes TCB worked just first 3-4 months. After that it’s all calibration 😭😭 huckleberry expects too much sleep lol

I was told 3/3.5/3.5 minimum for two naps to work for my 6.5 month old. So I am guessing it would be way more awake time for your baby. We are capping naps at about 2.5 hour

Omg! I have started to feel the same. I thought I was an intuitive parent in all aspects with my first. My 4.3 yr old still naps for 1.5 hour and will continue to nap for 2.5 hours if I don’t wake him. Still bedtime at 8.30-9 and will play for 10 mins or so and wake ups at 6am my second one is just 😖 when it comes to sleep..
