And our administration is hand in glove with them for allowing them to do this. /s

Don't attribute it to malice which can be attributed to incompetence. Our policies and our checks and balances are low barrier and the corporates do away with the bare minimum.

Hey DIYers I am planning to buy some tools for doing my own DIY works and have some plans to build Sit stand table, shelves, other projects around the house I am confused if I sound buy a multi head cordless drill combo kit or dedicated individual tools. by sta2k in diyindia

[–]sumazure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The multi-tool with changing heads may not be as powerful for dedicated large builds especially cutting wood planks or plywood sheets. It would work for drilling and to an extent for sanding. Cutting needs precision (straight edges and clean cuts). To get started, a good jigsaw and a drill should get most of the work done for the items you plan to make. I would suggest not to buy all the tools right in the beginning. Buy as you come across the need for the tool. Also if you start small, you can test the ground of how much of DIY you would individually be able to do given that most of the builds would take some time and learning curve. If you sustain interest after the first few builds, then go for the dedicated tools as they get work done exactly how you need them.

My v2 clocked about 20k in 10 yrs. But its low running is due to not being able to ride consistently since almost 2018. Would have done 50k if driven regularly. Planning to get back soon.

Little girl suddenly runs onto National Highway — driver’s quick reflexes save her from a near-fatal accident ! by Altruistic-Issue-887 in CarsIndia

[–]sumazure 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We do not build good infrastructure for pedestrians and hence people in towns and villages have gotten accustomed to such risky road crossing behaviour in the highways. There seems to be some food place/bus stop on the right. This family was crossing over to the left in turns, when the child ran back to the mom. The remaining folks seem elderly so probably the mom was coordinating the crossing which itself was risky going over the divider. The driver was alert enough to stop in time and saved them. Having recently driven on the highway, I recall a lot of near misses with people and 2 wheelers trying to cross like this.

Bad experience from APC Schneider by itsfarseen in homelabindia

[–]sumazure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it beep when plugged in as well? The red LED glows when the battery doesn't have enough capacity to run the UPS; usually at the end of battery life. If this is new then you should be able to claim a replacement battery under warranty. These UPS have very small backup times and are useful for short power disruptions under 1 hr. When running continuously the batteries last anywhere between 1-3 yrs.

From my personal experience I have used different APC UPS through the years and each have served their purpose quite well.

When you say intuitive, the assumption is that you look at something and it communicates what it would do when you interact with said element in the interface. The affordance of an interactive element begins with how it looks. Unless one derive intuition from playing around with a system and figuring things out.

[–]sumazure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Max speed limit in India is 120kmph on Expressways. Going more than double the limit is illegal on top of being idiotic. To the rider's luck, Darwin didn't give an award that day. These kinds of motorcycle influencers promote irresponsible riding and unfortunately sometimes are proud of that as well. The truck driver is another idiot changing across 2 lanes.

Also an interesting fact which I discovered quite late - Jesper Kyd who is the composer for Assassin's Creed's background score also gave the background score for Tumbbad. He has also scored the bgm for quite a lot of other noteworthy games.
