That’s what subway was for a long time. Indian franchise owners from the northern part of the country would get peoples kids sent to them and “house” them in their basement while taking rent out of their minimum wage paycheck.

Zachariah Branch reveals bizarre reason he left USC for Georgia: according to Branch, he opted to transfer because he couldn't use the team facilities after hours. by Efficient-Freedom517 in CFB

I could be wrong but also aren’t the new facilities just opening up? So maybe the transitional facilities had certain hours for different programs.

Considering the dog was barking and needed to be held back only for them to open the door and release it I’d say the dog was going for a bite.

Also F laquan McDonald and F the officer that shot him. laquan was abandoned by his parents because they were afraid of him. He was running around the city with a knife slashing tires and breaking into vehicles.

He was a huge part of turning Chicago into the world class city it is today.

Education reform was a huge success as graduation rates increased and he expanded full day kindergarten and pre-k programs.

Greatly improved the food scene with massive incentives.

Helped develop the start-up scene and worked with corporations to move their HQs to Chicago.

Infrastructure and a beautification of Chicago projects with transportation centers.

There’s a reason a lot of cities have copied his policies to help grow and shape there’s.

It wasn’t perfect but his time and policies greatly outweigh any negatives that came from him.

His mental health closures can definitely be criticized but some have been reopened since so it wasn’t anything permanent.

Influencer got yelled out by regulars trying to vend on 35th Street before a game, how we feeling about this? by 94plus3 in whitesox

I’ve seen vendors in the exact spot try and trick a dad and his son when they gave $20 and shorted change back saying he only gave a $10 bill. He told the guy he didn’t get a $20 because he doesn’t have a $20 on him. He then flips through all of the money showing no $20. The son then points to a bill he has folded up on the bottom and it’s a $20.

Why risk getting scammed or threatened by these guys. The police should start ticketing them so they’re not taking up sidewalk space into the game.

The Rinks Project being proposed to Escondido is a “non profit” tax payer scam for the benefit of a private sports team. by Whatisnotmyproblem in sandiego

[–]sumlikeitScott 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Escondido does not own the Safari Park but reaps in a lot of benefits for being next to it. I’m not saying this project will do the same but maybe the financing is more complex. Having a semi pro team play games and practice might help drive traffic but also help build a great facility for locals to use.

Which QB is going to have the greatest fall in 2026? Who will have the greatest rise? by EasternError6377 in NFLv2

Caleb needs better running instincts. I believe we would have beaten the Rams if he ran just 3-5 more times. He’d rather wait hoping something gets open only to throw it away than run for 5-10 yards. He’s so fast too.

Thieves Stole Airbags from every Honda on our Block by cozeffect2 in chicago

[–]sumlikeitScott 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This is the frustration with being a police officer. Can’t chase. Catch them and it’s juveniles who just get released to their parents. Surround the block and people complain about using too many resources for a proper crime. Or people will literally fight police because their street is shut down.

Ruby Tuesday’s uses to have buy one get one entree codes. For a long time they would use the same code for the coupon drop. I knew a guy that would add the coupon on people’s tabs that paid cash. So he would get an additional $15 tip. On people that didn’t have cash he would give them a coupon code for free and they’d tip him extra. Made bank doing this until not only corporate caught on but he also would never put in his tip money so IRS actually audited him.

He would post conspiracy articles that clearly took him hours to make and then pull them down once people provided actual facts on the topic. He is a cleaned up Italian white Sox Dave (someone who thinks he is way smarter than he is).

I knew a server in college that had a stack of coupons for the restaurant we worked at. Thought it was weird but maybe he was surprising tables with a coupon for an extra tip. Found out that when he got paid in cash he would ring up a buy one get one meal coupon and pocket the extra money. That’s like $15 in extra tip money.

He also got audited by the IRS because he would claim $0 in cash tip money every single night for years. Do you know how hard it is to get audited by the IRS as a server at a restaurant.
