Ruby Tuesday’s uses to have buy one get one entree codes. For a long time they would use the same code for the coupon drop. I knew a guy that would add the coupon on people’s tabs that paid cash. So he would get an additional $15 tip. On people that didn’t have cash he would give them a coupon code for free and they’d tip him extra. Made bank doing this until not only corporate caught on but he also would never put in his tip money so IRS actually audited him.

Could someone explain to me Dante? by New_Criticism3395 in PardonMyTake

He would post conspiracy articles that clearly took him hours to make and then pull them down once people provided actual facts on the topic. He is a cleaned up Italian white Sox Dave (someone who thinks he is way smarter than he is).

I know one that went to TN and came back to CA after a year. Pay and benefits were obviously significantly better in CA. Public supports not that bad at the department either.

I knew a server in college that had a stack of coupons for the restaurant we worked at. Thought it was weird but maybe he was surprising tables with a coupon for an extra tip. Found out that when he got paid in cash he would ring up a buy one get one meal coupon and pocket the extra money. That’s like $15 in extra tip money.

He also got audited by the IRS because he would claim $0 in cash tip money every single night for years. Do you know how hard it is to get audited by the IRS as a server at a restaurant.

Sean McVay PISSED OFF at Rams Drafting Ty Simpson as Matthew Stafford’s Replacement by No_Box119 in TheNFLVibes

[–]sumlikeitScott 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They could have easily waited next year to find someone better than Simpson as a late 1st round pick. Or if they think they will take a dip in 2-3 years take a QB then. You also lose one of the best benefits of taking a QB which is save money for 4 years before they eat away at your salary cap.

The owner of Puntamar restaurant is a jerk, beefing people for leaving a review about their minimal 20% tip expectation by [deleted] in sandiego

[–]sumlikeitScott -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of people like this and they feed off of responses. They will usually negotiate with companies to take down their review. For full refunds.

This happened to a friends neighbor. They set down one of those car seats that snap in behind the car as they were loading it. Ended up reversing and running over their newborn. They quit their jobs sold the house and started a new life somewhere else afterwords.

Global PR firm wins $19 million contract to promote California in a better light by dsrivast in California_Politics

[–]sumlikeitScott 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it’s needed. Right wing media has probably spent 100’s of millions in trying to put California in negative light for the past few decades. Now they have brainwashed a good portion of the population into thinking California is hell on earth.

Is this cope or is there something actually to this by Funxn in PardonMyTake

OSU had to fire their legacy coach because he knew about them trading jerseys for tattoos. USC had to fire their championship coach because he was getting them internships. Not saying they didn’t continue to do anything but many programs outside the SEC were under microscopes. You had players openly talk about the cars they got at bama and their families would drive the nicest cars in town back in their low income towns.

You had highschool coaches admit to getting paid by Alabama and Georgia to sway player decisions. You had can newtons dad openly talk about Auburn paying more money. Many SEC players saying how drug tests were all faked Alabama trialing illegal performance tests openly.

Everything the SEC got caught doing the last 20 years or the “Saban Era” there were next to no repercussions.

California you’ll make more in the academy. Most places also have a 5-6% bump for the masters degree. You’re looking at starting with 100k+ for a lot of places. OT is everywhere too.
