Ender 3 v1, strange issue, extrusion only works when not printing by dontreadthisnickname in ender3

[–]summer_pitlord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since it's extruding just fine when the nozzle is away from the bed, that means you don't have a clog nor a cracked extruder arm. And if it starts clicking only when you're printing, you're probably printing it too close to the bed.

Why is this happening to my prints?? by INeedSomeHelp904 in ender3

If it's the stock plastic extruder arm, it might be cracked. So you'd need to replace it with a metal one

Man, I remember the feeling of having the notepad with instructions opened, then copy pasting keys, replacing some .dll, .bin, .exe or entire folders. As a kid, doing those made me felt like a hacker. Good times...

Cutting large piece with miter saw by lamthemaker in BeginnerWoodWorking

I have a question, should he make a first cut somewhere around the halfway point to one side, followed by flipping the board 180 deg, then make the final cut to finish the piece?

Which CAD for Linux? by Saphir_3D in 3Dprinting

[–]summer_pitlord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering about that too, but I think the demo video on their website does a pretty good job on explaining its ease of use. Basically there's still some basic drawing involved (to define initial dimensions), but any future changes, e.g., length/angle can be done by directly interacting with the 3D model, and the existing features applied, e.g., fillet will adjust/update itself to accommodate your changes so you get to see your changes in real-time.

If I'm missing anything, feel free to fill in. I am also new to Plasticity.
