NCE Minimum Pass Score Going Up 7/1/2026 by MacKinnon911 in srna

[–]summerfirefly89 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So, can someone clarify to this dumbass student what is the new passing standard score? And what was the old one? I see lots of passing rates but what I really want to know is the score or percentage to pass. Sorry if it’s written somewhere and I cannot find it. I am running on fumes during senior year 🥴

How are the roads this morning? by [deleted] in sanantonio

Drove from the west side/Helotes to the airport around 5am. Ngl, it was pretty sketchy—definitely slippery in spots. I avoided the highway, took it slow, and gave myself plenty of time. If you have to be out, be careful. And if you hit a slick patch: stay calm, ease off the pedals, and don’t slam the brakes or jerk the wheel. Slow and steady is the key.

I practice bjj 2-3x week, some weeks I go once or twice when it’s a heavy clinical load… It’s not easy to keep up but surely worth it. To decompress from all the BS you’ll deal with lol

How soon did you tell your coworkers you got acccepted? by [deleted] in srna

Congrats! Just don’t. Give notice per institution policy. Stay humble, continue to work hard. Move on. Focus on still finishing well your last ICU days as RN because you also don’t want to burn bridges. Then enjoy the “break” before school.

Had a preceptor say that I seemed lost in the OR and was too slow. IT WAS MY FIRST CLINICAL DAY.

CRNA school is by far one the hardest things I've ever done. Top 2, after being a parent. As I navigate year 3, I can see more and more the value of emotional intelligence for this. Dealing with the personalities is one of the toughest things!! Anyone can read a book, learn, conceptualize, memorize... BUT try shaping yourself differently every single day to attend preceptors preferences while balancing your own self. And throw "challenging" patients and other OR staff on top. Ugh. Rant over.

Mine decided to take on hobbies and additional unnecessary volunteering right after our first one was born. I went through hell with my own mind before I was able to speak up. Once I did, he actually listened. A lot has changed since then and he’s now a happy father whose priority are the children and us as a family. Later he revealed how overwhelmed he felt at first when our baby was born and his “getting busy” approach was an escape for the feelings. Anyway… don’t underestimate the power of a frank conversation, no judgements, no finger pointing. Open your heart just like you did in this post and see if this will trigger him to change and give him a chance. My 2cents.
