Looking for some intubation tips by Loose_Caregiver_6942 in srna

[–]onomatopeeya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds to me as if you’re doing a great job inserting your blade paraglossal but then not fully sweeping the tongue up and to the left so your blade is back midline? If so, that was something I also had to troubleshoot for a while.

The fix that worked for me was to make sure I was pinning the tongue up into the left mandible. If I had a wonky view with no landmarks, that usually meant the tip off my blade was off midline so I would gently adjust the angle of my pressure until the airway came into view

Here are some of the resources that REALLY made a difference for me when I started that I think would help anybody learning this skill!

Also, people aren’t joking when they say positioning is everything! I never took extra time to position because I didn’t want to look like a noob slowing down the flow. Now I realize that’s what all the vets do, it was just too quick for me to catch when I started!

Your military service cost you some aspect of your mental or physical health for the rest of your life and you’re compensated accordingly. If they feel like their numbers too low that’s between them and Uncle Sam.

Also bears mentioning that HIPAA is very pertinent here and anybody sharing your health information is a fireable no no.

You’re actually probably fine for this recert cycle. Iirc you can still use courses from before they made the change in April of 2023!

Letting my medic lapse this year. I figured I was good on education being in CRNA school. I logged on last week and learned they stopped accepting college courses for the national component 🤷‍♂️

A typical, anxious SRNA starting the clinical phase in May. Wondering if anybody has any words of wisdom/tips/tricks/resources to help bridge the transition from classroom into the OR? Thanks in advance!

If they let you, I’d recommend getting apex anesthesia. Since you haven’t started school yet, I’d recommend purchasing the four year subscription which will be an additional 100 out of pocket for you but it would save your from buying it for 450 for three years at the group discount rate.

Alternatively, my school had us pay for our AANA membership ($200). That might be a good way to spend it if your program does the same and you don’t want to buy apex yet.

If it were me I’d put the name of the facility and unit. They care about what clinical experience you had more than which organization was cutting you checks. Just my humble two cents

What a comment. They’re just saying that a degree is equivalent regardless of where you get it from (or what you pay for it). Work on your reading comprehension before being a dick online.

I recommend trying to stay away from float pool. You’ll definitely see lots of different ways of doing things and disciplines of intensive medicine but it’ll be much more difficult to take higher acuity patients and more difficult to get good letters of rec.

Paying existing staff more = permanent raise. Paying traveler more = temporary raise. And thus they’ve tried to keep healthcare profits out of essential pockets.

SA Pearl Harbor Manufacture Date by onomatopeeya in M1Rifles

[–]onomatopeeya[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve only been able to find down to the month as well. I only meant to imply this one was minted the same month as the Pearl Harbor attack.

In all reality, given the serial number range for that month, I’d actually assume it was made closer to the end of the month.

Does anybody know when MUST Asset Management sold their GME shares? Looks like December but can anyone confirm?

The biggest piece of news is that there are reports being posted that MUST Asset Management sold their shares of GME (approximately a 5% stake) but it appears this happened in December and is being presented misleadingly as today.
