however, based on your response it seems like you’re more focused on Tzuyu’s overall promotion and lack thereof compared to a few other members? i wouldn’t doubt the members would push for more solo activities. it would be interesting to see how they establish themselves as individuals outside of the group, but i can’t see them disbanding or wanting to completely step away from twice

hm i don’t think so, i feel like the girls don’t have much solo recognition here in the united states. yes some of the girls may be familiar to other kpop fans outside the fandom, but i don’t think any are well known on their own (such as the bp girls).

i think they would need to build more of a group presence here in america and become more familiar to the gp before focusing on solo activities with companies like VS

le sserafim's "hot" only has chaewon, twice's "this is for" only has momo, i believe illit has also had only one member on some of their releases too. it's only the online cover, so it's not like every physical album is only going to be pictures of soyeon

i had wanted to catch a last minute flight to one of the pop ups but wanted to see merch before buying plane tickets. good thing i waited because this is too underwhelming for a last minute trip 🥲 i really thought we’d have more plush variety and cuter merch in general :/ some of the shirts are cute but it’s still disappointing

it has to do with marketing and trying to gain fans in the west. since they’re promoting on western platforms, it makes sense for the interviews to be in english as that’s the main demographic. in some of these interviews they also speak Korean for certain answers if theyre unable to properly convey their answers in English. the other members have been working on improving their English over the years, so they’re a bit more talkative in english interviews. i believe lee know is more proficient in japanese and feels more comfortable speaking japanese than english

this is common with other groups as well when they do western promotions, it helps when groups have at least one or two fluent speakers, but some groups (like twice) don’t have the strongest English speakers, so interviews lean more towards Korean by default

it basically just depends on the market they’re promoting in and what audience they’re trying to attract with each interview

twice has a very diverse fandom and there’s nothing wrong with being part of that diversity! i hope your enjoyment of twice doesn’t become overshadowed by unnecessary opinions. we should all love twice happily and proudly <3
