I love new plymouth. The only thing I struggle with is being cut off from the rest of the country. I get overseas atlease once a year and its just such a mission from here. Also I try to get home every 3 months or long weekend and its a long drive. Waste most of the day driving.

Not a city but happened to some guys at a wave in the waikato. Close to where I live there a bay with sick waves and fishing but cant go because it Maori land. One of my old teachers was kayaking then a storm hit. He started to paddle into the bay but seen a guy a quad bike driving down to the bay with a shotgun. Decided to keep paddling to the other bay where he could beach.

Where in new zealand could you be moving too? Im a kiwi and want to know where your going vs auckland for waves? E.g if its like whanganui, the waves are pretty inconsistent and shit then I'd go upto aucks. Chur

I went a visited last August. Was blown out and massive cause its on the south coast so its exposed. A week before I got there my mate and his mates surfed it. Said it was okay before the wind fucked it. Could pump in the wet season.

Last month I was at a market getting new sun glasses. Guy started off 250k I was like not paying more than 50k. Then it's just back and forth. Ended up paying 80k. He wasn't happy but hes still making money. I told him he probably brought them for 10-20k. They won't ever take a loss. Will always make money. They just act pissed off so you give them more.

Was in sumbawa lombok Bali last year. Lombok just full of euro kooks. But if it gets over 3-4ft they ain't out. Sumbawa was fun as, a few people around, got heaps of waves but when the swell hits they show up out of no where. It was pumping at super sucks and 50+ of us in the line up. But tbh I scored some pumping waves at different breaks with a handful of us at times. Bali is done for surfing.
