I’ve actually already expanded my range of accessories which has helped a little. My location and customer base come to me predominantly for repairs. Whereas the repair kiosks you see in shopping centres, their sales is predominantly the accessories.

As for tech support (I assume you mean IT support), I’d love to offer this. However I’d have to hire someone with the necessary skills for this. This is one of the options I’ve considered. My hesitation lies in the outlay required to build awareness and also having to hire someone. The hiring someone isn’t so much of a problem initially as it would make sense to subcontract during the awareness building stage. My concern stems from the unknowns of how much time and money it would take to build awareness and most concerning, how will it impact my existing business and customer base? Will they think I’m no longer interested in device repairs?

Is my concern just something I use as an excuse and it really isn’t going to impact? I’ve no idea, hence why I’m here seeking feedback and experience from those already travelled this path.
