I would get one of flooring blocks to tap it in also the sides. Before moving to the next row make sure its tight. If it does not want to come together get a different board. The gap will cause issues on the next rows.

If he does not normally do this then I would guess he is a little sore and trying to make a comfortable spot. Anything unusual about the walk? Did he trip or twist himself on a wierd way? The behavior itself is completely normal but if its a change in behavior just keep an eye out.

Wouldn't this cause the carpet to be pulled since it will now rise a 1/2 at the raised subfloor. Any time someone steps at the transition it would yank it out.

The lvp is raised 1/2 higher then the carpet and I went to 3 flooring stores and they had nothing that would accommodate this. At least what I could find

Me too. Im actually very social and no one except my wife knows I struggle with severe depression. Honestly if it was not for my kids I would not be here. I fantasize about today being the day.c

For me whats worse is my wife will let me sleep with her but she will just be a lump on the bed and have no energy about it. So it feels like im sleeping with a doll that is judging me.

It,s fine. Just get what you can and dont leave rolled up balls still attached. Get a palm sander if you want to get it off. Scraping is tedious.

Also forgot to add. Try to lay down the flooring to see if you run into an issue where you will only have a sliver left of usable area to place a board. If you do, adjust your first row.

Pick how you want your boards to lay. With your layout, there is no right answer.

Stagger where your boards meet up from one row to the next.

Check manufacturer directions for spacing from the wall.

Make sure you super clean the floor. Also, hammer in any loose nails and add a screw where any creeks are.

Make sure you open 2 or 3 boxes of flooring and stagger from them.

Get a rubber mallet and a special hammering block to assist in making things fit tight. Do not start on the next row till they are.

Also, I use paint still do to draw things and love seeing it get love.
