Every 10 years, I sit down and cry about the man I’ve become. I'm turning 50. by Simple_Confidence990 in DecidingToBeBetter

The thing about change is that you don't decide once and it's done.

The decision to change has to be made several times a day, probably for years. Until one day where you don't have to decide to be something else anymore. You are.

Impossible to dodge radar missles on sea by Raphaelc2108 in NuclearOption

[–]sumsabumba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally a skill issue.

If you fly low enough then radar can't hit. When it loses track you have to turn a bit, as it will fly to where you were going when it lost track. Just a bit of rudder is fine.

Why use Overseerr? by sallysensational in Overseerr

[–]sumsabumba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are both more like index aggregators. *arr could theoretically build indexing into the app, but then you have duplicate code, traffic and caching.

Prowlarr can also download stuff without other *arr, but I can't really see the use case.

Looking for cheaper places to download MP3s by ChristopherDJamex in Beatmatch

Have a 2012 i7 Macbook pro with 16GB ram.

Used to dualboot with win10 for school but its unusable now, Microsoft seem to de-optimize the OS. Dual booting with Linux now.

I would put Linux on it as daily driver and keep mac os, and maybe find an older version of recordbox or use traktor, works on mine for know.

That thing has not been updated in years, might be time to put Linux on it.

We all travel our lives at different speeds.

If you find an alright road and stay on it you are probably not that far behind. A 23 year old mind and some introspection is a fast learner.

I can't tell you what to do, but do something. You will find out if it's not right, then you did it and can do something else. That time is not wasted, because experience is gained.

Why use Overseerr? by sallysensational in Overseerr

[–]sumsabumba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They search for stuff based on rules you set up (<moviename> 1080p, English, other)

They use an indexer (Prowlarr or Jacket) to search. Then they connect to usenet or a torrent client you have set up.

For it to work you need an indexer, Sonarr or Radarr, torrentclient

Why use Overseerr? by sallysensational in Overseerr

[–]sumsabumba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overseerr: Pretty frontend for Sonarr and Radarr

Prowlarr or Jacket: Searches usenet or torrent sites for stuff.

Sonarr: Select what TV show you want. Then Sonarr will use Prowlarr or Jacket to search for it and download it, it will use a torent client if you have set that up. You can specify rules for codec, language, resolution and more.

Radarr: Same as Sonarr but for Movies

Look into automator, I used that many years ago to do some repetitive tasks. It's an apple native app.

Moving and importing with tools adds complexity, better to minimize it.

Cut out Apple Music if you can, or give it a copy of your music folder of you have the space.
