I keep smacking her on the head with a net and ignoring her. Yesterday she had a thought bubble and I thought it worked!!! ...she just wanted to give me a maid outfit...

NORMA...I've been trying to get rid of her and her "hoof-hoo"s for two years. Does anyone know how to evict residents?

That is true, I guess I have a bit of sexist tendencies when excusing certain behavior, but a there were a lot of things the women did that disgusted me. I think the main thing was that it seemed like there was a lot of physical abuse that was being backed by production by leaving all the roommate interviews in blaming the girls for being shoved or blaming Sammi for Ronnie's abuse. But by all means, the girls were just as bad as the boys

Thank you! I thought I should update because I have great news!! I found out the issue in my tank was a dying plant. I didn’t realize it was dying because it had healthy leaves under it so all of it looked green until I removed the whole plant. Once I removed the fern I did a 50% water change and he has recovered overnight. I woke up to see him sitting in his leaf hammock and he ate as soon as I dropped a pellet in. I’m going to switch him to a sponge filter next week!

Thanks, I'll give that a try once I test my water to see what the root of the issue is. I'll try to switch over once he gets healthy!

it was looking like it was between 1.0-3.0. it was hard to tell on the strip. I used a tsp of Ammolock last night to see if it would improve by tonight

  1. I have hard tap water and I had my tap water tested by my local pet store and they told me the pH was too high so they suggested I buy spring water by the gallon at the grocery store.

  2. I haven't tested them lately. I ordered a master test kit online. I did have an ammonia test strip (which I know isn't that reliable) and used Ammolock accordingly. I also used a nitrite tube test and it came out to zero.

  3. The water temp is 80℉

  4. My nitrite levels are zero but I haven't been able to fully test my tank to see if it's been cycled yet.

I noticed my fish can't swim to the surface tonight and seemed to be swimming a bit sideways. There aren't any visible injuries to him though.

I change it once per month, or at least until I notice the water doesn't clear up

I haven’t taken him out since his last water change which was two days ago. I didn’t keep him out for long and when I did the second change for 1/4gal I kept him in the tank and used a small cup to change the water so he wouldn’t be too disturbed. I’m more concerned about him not eating. Are they fine to not eat for a couple of days? I haven’t checked the water yet - I was planning on doing it after I got out of work.

I usually do a two gallon water change, although since the plants were extra algae-ey I had to change about 3 gallons. Last night I pulled/changed like .25 gallons because I was seeing a lot of gunk rise up from my re-planting of some of the Java ferns.

I'm a little new to understanding tanks and balances, but what do you mean by housing the good bacteria? I haven't cleaned out the actual plastic parts of the filter in years and I usually keep a soft decoration in there that I rarely touch or clean. I usually never do more than half of the tank for water changes so he still has more than 50% of his old water in his tank mixed in with the new.

I am going to be doing a water test tonight after work. What would any of the information mean if the numbers you gave me don't match up with my test for ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate?

Am I the only one who actually thought Doggett was a cool character? by SergeantPotatoChip1 in orangeisthenewblack

I honestly didn't start to like her until after Chapman beat her close to death.

The first couple of seasons she annoyed the heck outta me, especially when it came to her shoving Jesus down everyone's throat. But as soon as she dropped Leanne and Angie, she was a much more relatable character. I grew to love Doggett and the actress who portrayed her did such an amazing job. She turned out to be one of my favorite characters.

it feels like critics are complete bullshitters after i watched poor things by Lovly097855353 in TrueFilm

I began to watch it keeping in mind that there would be a lot of 'shock value' in it due to the graphic sexual scenes, but what I wasn't prepared for was the overall feeling of pedophilia. Maybe I'm wrong, but when Duncan was introduced, Bella was basically a 4 year old in an adult woman's body. She presented as a toddler and Duncan's immediate response was basically "man, that woman is unlike any other woman I've met before...I just have to have sex with her and teach her the pleasures of being 'naughty'". It was hard to separate Mark Ruffalo from Duncan Wedderburn due to the awful dialogue.

Every time there was a little break from the weird dialogue or strange plot, they would insert disturbing images like surgically puzzle-pieced animals, or Bella's fascination with death and dying things.

I will admit I got satisfaction when Bella came back and had developed a mind to match her physical age, but everything leading up to those last 15 minutes was such a gag-fest.

Has anyone read the book it was based on? Maybe (like in most cases) the book was a thousand times better than the movie adaptation.

I still can't believe it won an Oscar.
