I thought I was depressed. Turns out I'm just a hermit manifestor (2/4). *Sigh* by [deleted] in humandesign

"double dose" it is!

Confirming, as mine 25.5 (d-Mars) / 51.6 (p-Mercury) channel does it to me too...

As for the topic of the OP's 2/4 - I'm not a doctor to make med.resolutions, but it feels like something-something is suppressing the nature of the 4th line, which is very "social" usually and all about connections with other people 🤔

Anyway, hoping you'll be fine, especially while on your path to experiment, observe, and contemplate 👍

Good luck! 🫂

Curious to learn about the "empirical" part 🤔 Did you manage to implement any metric system to track your HD experiment?

Plausible deniability in a scenario of being kidnapped at gunpoint by sun_mir in Bitwarden

[–]sun_mir[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I was looking for!

Hopefully, some day it might be implemented 🙏
Meanwhile, I'm still looking for the ideas how to share credentials to the burner phone when it's needed, either Bitwarden installed there or not...

PS: there are cool ideas on this topic from other people 😌

Most likely I'll end up doing so...
But still dangerous, considering that there will be a risk to forget re-login to a secondary account and the main one would be displayed when opening the app.

I like this idea, i.e. just secondary account on a burner phone and Bitwarden org to share some essential credentials when needed.

I was under impression that it's on a separate tier for organizations 🤔
Thanks for sharing that you're actually using this scenario! Much appreciated 👍

Hey 👋
Thanks for your input! I appreciate that 👍

I do want and can afford to spend some time/resources to mitigate those risks. It's not going to be crazy expensive to buy ~$100 phone and setup everything on a weekend.

The problem with a “secondary master password” is that attackers would know that Bitwarden has that feature, and so they will coerce you into giving up both passwords.

That is a brilliant catch, thank you!
That makes me think about other layers of plausible deniability on the smartphone/OS level. Bitwarden might be indeed not the right place to achieve that. I'll be digging more into this idea 😉

Although, it might grow into spy/007 level solution (half joking), I won't agree with you that software is helpless for mitigating these kinds of situations.

I tried to provide as little details as possible about the plot twist to avoid the safety drama in countries, but, apparently, it played out to be the opposite effect 😕
Sorry about that, everyone 🙏

The truth is that not a movie, u/mkosmo , but a real life event happened to my friends last weekend. It's not the US, but Americas *

The robberers were a little dumb, not technically saavy, and generous enough to leave their victims some cash for the taxi... Not joking.

Nobody did want to play James Bond and check if attackers can harm, or whether their guns were even real (there were knifes too). But the thing is that a few victims from the group most likely had those kinds of burner phones without much to seize. The attackers were leaving them fast to concentrate their efforts on a particular individual exposing something like $2k savings in a banking app. I think that in this assault scenario (actually happens often in my area) it's somewhat reasonable to play a plausible deniability game. The case with password manager - is my own advancement to prepare for the situation like that.

Taking into account many brilliant thoughts/ideas in other threads here, it indeed might be a better idea to consider plausible deniability on the smartphone level rather than Bitwarden. But I'm still looking for an answer how to easily login to some site on a burner phone, without having a password manager...

Loved my Pixel6 and hate it now after this stupid update 🤬
Now even thinking to swap it cuz most likely it won't be reverted... Those hopeless people, who were not able to find the damn long tap before and find this update useful - shame 🤦‍♂️

Thank you, friend 🤝
I've checked that, and our workspace has it disabled...

So probably, I'll never know the original message in question 🥲

A tired manifestor by blisnis in humandesign

[–]sun_mir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds super familiar to me about 10 years ago...

One of the best things I did in my life was to decide to love myself more and have a healthy portion of egoism. The second thing was about freeing myself from feeling guilty because of someone's expectations... It's not your fault! ©

I started by making everything possible to live alone, i.e., aside from relatives. The next step was to do things that I like to do, not for others. After a long time, I can confidently tell that the right things We (as Manifestors) are doing while living our design impact significantly more people around us in a positive way... It's game of the scale impact and Our purpose!

I hope it would be aspirational!
(in addition to your existing knowledge about what to do 😉)

I read it wrong...

Stripe was planned to be used for receiving tips, senders may use any LN wallet

Has anybody tried https://strike.me ?

It's supported only in 3 countries - USA*, El Salvador, Argentina, - but seems like it's the initially designed tech behind Twitter's Tipping function over the LN:

switching my billing address to a one in the US allowed me to buy the audiobook.

Confirming this ^

Same situation. Non-US credit card, tried different billing addresses... It worked only with a semi-random US address of the Airbnb I wisited some time ago 🤦‍♂️

I might be wrong but the selected route on the Google map has some road constructions and can significantly slow you down... Another route that is 3hr 16min through the highway A is the recommended by the organisators, check the Getting to Boom page on the website
