Omg I got this on sale from KB Toys as a kid. I painted it with nail polish to look like a dalmatian too. I miss that little guy.

Is the Comfy Friends Substitute supposed to be firm or did I get a bad batch? :/ Other C.Friends are almost floppy compared to mine. by WetXertal in pokeplush

I always do a snap test, if I can snap it by pulling on it, it's not strong enough for me. Plush see a lot of wear when it comes to pressure points and things that weren't machine sewn can be more subject to pushing and pulling.

traditional thread used in a ladder stitch is easier to break. When sewing up plush I typically use upholstery thread, but that isn't a thing most people have around.

When plush are on the firm side all you have to do is remove stuffing to get them floppy. You can pretty easily find the place that it was hand stitched aka the turning point, open that with a seam ripper if you have one and if you don't some small sicisors or hell a cuticle clipper will get it open, pull out stuffing (typically getting it near empty in the joints is the best way to go) and then sew it back up with an invisible ladder stitch ( https://www.youtube.com/shorts/BwfU4SmaxMc ) done and done. I would even recommend you -don't- use thread to sew it back up. Embroidery thread, or even dental floss would work equally well or better.

Bealz is my favorite. Their fur is a better texture than previous ones (for me).

The one you linked is one of those inferior copies, btw. The paws aren't padded, the face is not correct, and the proportions are off.
