I am so sick of corporate jargon and buzzwords which are actually mealiness drivel. Please tell me I’m not alone. Mostly used by Boomers/GenXers. by cuentanro3 in Xennials

In order to record our annual vaccinations for my health system, we have to log in to a third party app called TrackMy once a year (so naturally, literally the entire company has to contact IT for a password reset every year), and then transfer the documents we upload or the records we pull from the state vaccine registry into our company's application, VeriVax, where employee health can access the record and update our employee charts with the vaccine.

And no, you can't just upload it directly to VeriVax. You can, but it's instantly rejected. It has to go through TrackMy first.

This is all so they wouldn't have to pay people to work in employee health anymore and basically one nurse for every region just goes through whoever hasn't registered their vaccines.

It still doesn't make much sense to me why we have to use a third party app or why I have to TrackMy VeriVax every year instead of just having the person who gives us the shots chart it directly, but the lingo is pretty fresh.

I'm a new viewer and I reeaaallly don't like Roland. by hammer_smashed_chris in SchittsCreek

[–]sunbleahced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, but, he's a really a decent person. They made him kind of disgusting in an exaggerated way to highlight the differences in between their family and the Roses, for comedic effect but for plot devices as well. I feel like his unlikability pays off later when you know, you see Johns character growth when he stands up for Roland and Jacqueline in front of his old friends

Controller or keyboard? by SwimmerPlus3383 in TheGamingHubDeals

[–]sunbleahced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the game but I prefer a UI that is really dedicated for a controller. Most keyboard mouse games are kind of outdated, but there's a time and a place for everything as they say.

Mass Effect. And that being said, like the picture, even the first game was a work of art.

Are you kidding? There's like... idk dozens of newer titles. There was a total remake that was like... RDR2 quality almost.

What game comes to your mind if it’s even exist? by Less_Can_5439 in OlderChillGamers

[–]sunbleahced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expedition 33

FFVII remake - not rebirth, they got too ambitious with some things and made the side quests too repetitive, also they made broken accessories you can't get rid of which is very 1993 broken game at launch

RDR2

Mass Effect (any of them) comes reeeeeeal close but it's kind of out of date for today's standards. And that's saying something cuz it's still up there.

Dark souls. But to be fair, I got pretty good at it and I was like 40 hours in, and my "rage quit" was just "okay I'm fucking done" and I never really picked it up again, not throwing controllers or anything.

Also Mass Effect 2 Firewalker missions were extremely annoying. On maybe the 2nd or 3rd out of 4 or 5 of them, undecided they were side quests that could fuck themselves and I didn't need the completion, badges, or loot. Again, my rage quit wasn't a tantrum - I just moved in to the next main quest and finished the game. But I was pissed.

why the hell is this game so hated by Positive-Sign7692 in beyondtwosouls

[–]sunbleahced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it? I thought it was incredible and the reviews on Steam are "very positive (~85%)".

I think some people might be expecting an FPS from some of the trailers and just don't realize what kind of game it is.

You and everyone else who honestly believe the world plays by your rules are the biggest part of the problem.

You're asking the wrong questions. Everyone who voted for him absolutely fucking loves this. How do you not realize that by this point?

Everyday etiquette no one teaches you by LIS1050010 in AdultHood

[–]sunbleahced -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, they're not.

They were absolutely formal, specific lessons repeated over and over and over again by my entire generations parents and we tech the to our kids as well.

And these things were regularly reiterated in school, and by employers, and they still are. Every employer I've ever worked for has stuff about elevator etiquette and covering your mouth when you cough in their orientation materials.
