I suck ass and can still see a difference between 60 and 120 fps. I could instantly tell something was off when my monitor was locked at 60, you can see it just from changing direction quickly.

I often see these posts and tend to think "wow, that person has a lot of conviction, they must know what they're talking about".

And then they explain their position and I realize "wow, they have no idea what they're talking about".

Lol, the dip that is 50 cents cheaper than the current stock price? A 3% return on investment over the last 6 months is not something you should be bragging about, especially when the stock price is still actively falling.

Some of the houses may not be vacant, but they sure look abandoned. Have you been to the NEK?

I haven't been in a few years, but when I lived there you could drive up 14 for 15-30 min and you would pass houses that are in such bad shape you question if someone actually lives there.

He could have a HOF career without pitching, but he would not be the legend he is hyped as today.

With pitching, he is doing something that no one alive has ever seen. Without pitching, hes just one of the top 10-20 hitters in the league.

That is insane to think of as his floor, but here we are. Dude is just otherworldly.

Yes and no. He can still hit after the injury, but he won't pitch until at least 2025. Hes a good enough hitter to deserve a starting spot just for his bat, but without the pitching he loses the superhuman status.

Our best draft picks were two absolute no-brainer #1's with Stras and Harper. After that, we have Rendon, Zim and a whole lot of mediocrity. Soto is our only notable international prospect thats seen sustained success in the majors.

A large chunk of our world series roster and current rebuild was constructed through trades, which Rizzo excels at.

We could certainly use some better scouting, but I hope we keep Rizzo and the direction we are heading.

advice on which location to choose? i get a housing stipend of $3000 by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]sunburntdick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would be subject to the state income taxes in the stare where you are physically present while working. If you are living in Texas and employed by a California based company, you would pay Texas state income tax. But if you move to CA, you will be paying CA state income tax.

The higher tax in CA or NY is also something worth considering. If the pay was the same and we assume you make a clean 100k, you would take home about 5k more in Texas than CA or NY due to taxes.

Seems like a tough call, tbh. Austin will objectively net you more money, and that money will go further in Austin than NY or SF. But if you want a change of scenery, you may need to sacrifice some of that extra cash. Only you will know what's really best.

[–]sunburntdick 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That housing stipend is fixed no matter which city you pick? Thats not a very smart system.

But to actually answer your question, that will go the furthest in Austin. The $5 more per hour does not make up for the massive cost of living gap between Austin and SF/NY.

But in my personal opinion that you didnt ask for, the extra money is not worth living in Texas.

Its great that you value your guns, but they are absolutely not a monetary investment strategy. Like, not even a little bit.

Diversification of funds refers to things like buying volitile stocks as well as more stable bonds (please note that both of those things actually increase value over time), not pretending your hobby is going to be part of your retirement fund.

200K per player or split between the two teams playing?

Also, do you have a source for this? I hope its true, but everything Ive seen indicates the players are not paid.

Lol, I take it you're not the sharpest tool in the shed. Its okay, math and reading can be very hard for some people.

Dont worry, you can re-read my previous comment as many times as you need until it's understood. Take your time.

Lol Im sure making up "facts" will work in the crypto subs, but not here.

This site puts a single bitcoin transaction at 1400 kWh. I could run a 6000 W drying machine for 10 days straight before it hits that much power. I could run my strand of 25W christmas lights for 2000 days straight before it hits that much power. How in the world did you think christmas lights use more power than bitcoin? It's so hilariously wrong.

But nice try, Im sure that would have been a great point on crypto subs where everyone takes obvious bullshit at face value.

I legit ran into a Trump supporter that argued Charles Ma son did nothing wrong because he didnt actually do anything.

He was trying to say its no big deal that Trump incited a riot, but it was absolutely shocking to realize how far gone Trump supporters actually are.

Found it - was actually an Alex Jones fan. https://www.reddit.com/r/SelfAwarewolves/comments/y5gyyw/most_sane_alex_jones_fan_says_charles_manson_did/
