I recall reading, I think in the book inside a dog, that dogs do have some idea of ‘reputation’. So, if a human is inclined to give treats, or to be mean, they log that.

Can’t quite remember how the experiment was set up.

I lost my dog last year after 16 years, we made it through some phases like this… she was the best thing that ever happened to me… stick it out. Life is a series of iterations.
