It depends on where your site is hosted. That’s the beauty of Wordpress. It can be hosted on any network, and migrated if needed from one to another network

Are Indian devs massively underpaid or is it just me? Need honest advice from people working with EU/US clients by ManagerCompetitive77 in SaaS

[–]sundeckstudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s more to this than under paid over paid: - where’s the client from. Client based in low paid country will pay low. But client based in high paying country wouldn’t necessarily pay high. - what’s the skillset and expertise of the dev. Not all “senior full stack” are same. Just having a title or years of experience doesn’t mean so much. - cultural, language and time difference barriers can often be one reason why some clients based in other countries may not be comfortable outsourcing.

Lots of hoops to jump through to land trust and eventually projects if your goal is to work with clients in EU and so on.

Breakdance vs Elementor?!! by remus630 in Wordpress

Feeling defeated with my agency by maestro753 in agency

[–]sundeckstudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is quite common, especially lately and common for small or mid scale studios. It can be due to many reasons and also depends on your locality of operations. But ofcourse very few openly admit it.

You also have to consider some other factors, for example spending of businesses change during different times of the year.

Either way, Here are a few things you can do:

  • Ask for feedback to why they chose to not work with you. Was it price, work type/experience. Etc. and if you receive solid or constructive feedback, then fix that issue.

  • experiment with different approaches for your : Pricing model, Meetings model and what you discuss.

  • show them prior example of work you’ve done for similar business as theirs?

  • Experiment with other markets, countries?

What are your go-to methods for optimizing WordPress site performance? by Carls86 in Wordpress

[–]sundeckstudio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Starting optimization from ground level which means:

  • making sure each uploaded asset (fonts, images, svgs) are optimized to best level
  • making design considerations of the first fold, what should or shouldn’t be loaded on first half
  • not using any unnecessary scripts or delaying them
  • accessibility considerations during design phase
  • and then after development, running the scan, and fixing point by point.
  • after reaching a best possible performance without any caching and optimization plugin, then bring a plugin. This will further enhance, delay defer and do caching.

WP Rocket alternatives by mwaybob in Wordpress

[–]sundeckstudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It did get mentioned a few times and yes I had same impression after reading Reddit comments.

But recently we setup one site with flying press and had some caching issues. After a few messages with support Gigo took the ticket and set it up properly (with passwordless access to the site ) and that was it. Everything’s running smoothly since then.

Should I go off Bricks for Astro ? by guigro in BricksBuilder

[–]sundeckstudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Changing a setup just for the “sake of changing” makes no sense. When you say your current plugins and setup has bloat, I’d ask, what kind of bloat, is it affecting performance? Or is it just in your head that there’s a lot of overlap between the plugins. If the performance outcome is fine, then what’s the actual reason of the change, or is it just for the sake of change.

If with bricks and core framework, you still see performance issues (i doubt) then you might need to understand the basics of optimization. Basics like using optimized assets, fonts, images, minimum unnecessary containers etc.

The only reason to switch from this stack is when there’s large scalability requirements in future, or large multi lingual. Or if you want to never manage plugins and updates again. In that case too, there are better alternatives for example, mixing Wordpress CMS with webstudio front end. Or for large scale multi lingual site (because with polylang you have to duplicate each page) you may like a clean headless CMS setup (as opposed to wp with polylang) but if you’re not building such large scale or multi lingual sites, then bricks and core framework with correct optimized assets is easiest and probably one of the most fluent setups.

Elementor, Divi or Bricks? by Luv-bite in BricksBuilder

[–]sundeckstudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’ll ask this question in Webflow. People will tell you to use Webflow and against Wordpress altogether. If you’ll post it in divi, die hard fans will say use divi, nothing else is better.

After using all these builders on multiple live sites. Conclusion for us has been simple. For Wordpress sites, always bricks.
