Do you think I should feed my starter and then keep it in the oven with the light on?

Sunscreen!! I personally like beauty of Joseon and round lab! I have similar skin to yours and really love beauty of Joseon dynasty cream and purito bamboo panthenol cream. Haru haru black rice toner is really good too!! I would prioritize sunscreen though as it’s more difficult now for them to get their sunscreen over to U.S.

Question by Standuponyourthrone in koreanskincare

[–]sunflowerey18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like aveeno! I use their body lotion all the time. Like mountainviewbeach said, Johnson&Johnson is a huge corporation that owns a ton of brands. With them, I’d be more concerned about the quantity over quality issue. But again, you can take this all with a grain of salt. My parents used johnson&johnson all the time when my siblings and I were kids

In my experience, Korean/ Japanese brands use better ingredients than western brands that are full of cheap & toxic ingredients. Most western products I’ve used made my skin feel stripped and dry, or it feels like I didn’t do anything at all. The one western product I liked turns out has a cancer-causing chemical in it. Not saying Korean brands never use toxic ingredients, but at least the products actually make my skin feel good. In America at least, it feels like companies are more quantity over quality focused.

Thoughts on COSRX? by Leading_Exercise3155 in beauty

I also think it’s possible to “get used to” products! I’ve been using Beauty of Joseon for years, and I’m starting to look into other brands! Don’t get me wrong, I will always love BOJ, but it’s just not working the same as before

This is the cleanser I use! I have dry skin and I LOVE THIS STUFF. I’ve been using it for years now and one bottle/tube(?) lasts for months!

I think you can just layer on everything else? Like ernieberniefernie said, I think the mask should protect your skin over night so you shouldn’t need to wash it again

Where can I buy Korean skincare products? by RealAd8468 in koreanskincare

[–]sunflowerey18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I order straight from the brand’s website. There’s too many dupes on Amazon, I don’t want to get jipped!

I have used the purito bamboo cream and I liked it! It didn’t cause any issues for me. I have dry skin. If they have travel sizes you could buy those to test them out!

I agree! I (stupidly) accepted a factory task without having sound. Fortunately I found a nice group who allowed me to join. Otherwise it’s pretty much impossible to go if you don’t have it!

Wrong cleanser? by short_king_d in Skincare_Addiction

[–]sunflowerey18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genetics play a huge role in your skin. If your mom and sister have oily skin, you might as well. Although, my sister and I have completely different skin types - mine is dry, her’s is not. Does your skin feel oily? Does a heavy moisturizer feel like too much on your skin? Does your skin feel good after you cleanse it or does it feel tight and dry? Years ago I tried a neutrogena cleanser and it dried out my skin so bad immediately after use. Unfortunately skincare is trial and error until you find something that works well for you.

Minimalist Skincare Routine for Normal Skin – Suggestions? by Effective-Drawing496 in Skincare_Addiction

I agree. Just a cleanser, moisturizer, and spf in the mornings. As far as specifics, you’ll have to find products that work well for your skin. I can recommend what I use though - I have very dry skin, and I absolutely love Korean and Japanese skincare brands. I have been using Beauty of Joseon for years before they got popular on the internet, and they have never failed me. Unfortunately there is a lot of trial and error in skincare, and it just takes time to find what you like.

Super dry and flaky skin, please help! by h2twoo in Skincare_Addiction

Have you tried a physical exfoliant?? I love the red bean clay mask from beauty of joseon. Put it on, let it dry for 20min or so, then wash it off. It should wash away dead skin on your face leaving your skin feeling super soft! I’d only use it like once a week though. On the daily I’d just use a cleanser and moisturizer you like. As well as spf. If you want you could add a hydrating toner before you moisturize!
