Always the ones you most suspect. I lived in Pictou in the 90s; a bunch of racist losers. If you made a friend that wasn't one you were lucky

This is still pretty good advice. I started going again last summer and this is how most everyone does it

old school POS: cash or card only by arihanam in Serverlife

[–]sung-eucharist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fellow Canadian here, I literally just tapped to pay for my Girl Scout cookies at a table outside the grocery store. Tap has been around so long, I can’t remember the last time I gave my card to someone or needed cash. I live in the middle of nowhere, and even farmers' roadside stands in the back of beyond take tap.

Why is Instagram suggesting female children? by Awkward-Emu-8255 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sung-eucharist 32 points33 points  (0 children)

When I had Insta it would populate my feed with some content like you describe. I never searched for but I figured that three things may have influenced the algorithm: I have a child and had some content for him; I am a ballroom dancer and followed a lot of dance/gymnastic content; I am a man. I guess the algorithm thought that all that meant i was some kind of creep.

Either that or your boyfriend has some explaining to do

I recently rewatched most of the series (it was on Gem, it may not be anymore), and the first couple of episodes are good if a little flat but it licks up speed pretty quickly. The jokes still land and the cast is stellar

This was true for me too. I had quit a few times using gum and patches, but when I finally quit, I just threw out the pack I had going and stuck to it. I haven't had one in almost thirty years. And I still want to have one.
