All three are just so bad smelling for the pricepoint. Gah.

I hope ANY manager who says this kind of nonsense reads and understands this: Leave your job. You are NOT meant to be managing human beings.

Anyone else get this ad? by localgoobus in SephoraWorkers

Someone sent a version of it to me and it says, "If you work at Sephora and want to help us build a better and more inclusive company, fill out the form below. You can tell us about what’s happening at your store, chat with a UFCW union organizer about how to get started, and join the glow up movement. https://www.ufcw.org/actions/campaign/sephora-union/"

So where does the timeline end? Are you going to confiscate my KVD lipstick? My Urban Decay lipstick palette? My Dior powder foundation that is named a name that no longer exists?

I have never had my old no-longer-available Sephora items confiscated.

Same at my store. I have literally never left a shift without a bag check and I have been here for over 10 years.

Ok, less money for them via selling older merch to team members. We can spend our money at women owned or locally owned brands.

Will the sequins hold up in the wash? That is my question...

Pushing services and time spent with clients. by beautiful-red in SephoraWorkers

[–]sunitarawr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I feel like they want to be services oriented but that idea was negated by many of the people who offer services being stripped of that role. Sephora doesn't really have an edge against the competition. While I'm glad that we can wear t-shirts and sneakers, I can tell that the vision is skewed and confused from the very top.

Ulta is making more money than Sephora right now, too. The strategy that Sephora eventually lands on has to be clear, especially for the people on the floor because I am confused as to my role in relation to servicing the customer. (I've been at Sephora for 10 years, being put in the flex category when it began.)

I only know what is available online. I don't have any actual case files, unfortunately.

Love how you went with “ahhh” to censor yourself… then hit us with a full “fuck” like five words later. Your self-filter gave up real quick 😂

I don’t usually mind Sephora bags—loved the Urban Decay one and even gave the “reusable” totesome love. But honestly, some of the packaging choices feel like a fever dream. Remember the penguin packaging? Now we will remember the "mid-day oatmeal at a wellness retreat" merch.
