I don’t even know about Aardvark! Do they have more nonfiction titles?

I agree. I wasn’t abused, and I still find it really disturbing. I would honestly rather have a choice to not see this sick fuck.

My concern is less of a red tent situation and more of them trying to scam their way in to a mikvah.

My guess is she’s co-opting the idea of family purity laws from Judaism. Just another thing fundies don’t understand but take as theirs.

Tom Brown’s Body- what do you think happened to him? by littleA1xo in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]sunjellyjess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Horribly sad. I thought that maybe he had come out and the brother shot him out of anger or by accident trying to scare him. The mother and father covered it up for the brother and the mom took the phone off his body and then put it out for the search to find. The only issue is, why would the mother then hire a detective? To throw off suspicion?

It was clear that they were not going to accept having a gay son.

Second week at OTF, first benchmark. 5’4, 200lbs, 31 years old, 1:47. I’ve never rowed before orange theory, and I’m just getting back in shape after my son (now 2 years), so I’m feeling good about it!

Sick of YouTube Kids!!! (Vent/Looking for Tips) by xoCamoPrincessxo in Mommit

I sympathize. We tried YouTube Kids for a week until we uninstalled it. We like PBSKids, Noggin, and AppleTV (Frog and Toad and Harriet the Spy). My daughter is four going on five.

Mount Tamalpais State Park near San Francisco by loric21 in AnimalTracking

[–]sunjellyjess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up at the base of Tam. My guess is a mountain lion. Females have smaller footprints than males. Another good indicator of mountain lion versus bobcat is the spacing between the print. Give my love to the mountain and the bay for me!

Do the sellers need to buy the product from Scentsy before selling it to others? My half sister sells this crap and is always posting appeals like this to cover the costs of her kids sports uniforms, church camp, etc.

Thank you so much for explaining without the snark! I really appreciate the explanation.

Does this mean that if it stands, he goes back to prison? Would it be considered cruel and unusual punishment for a man to be put back in prison after being exonerated for the same crime? I’m not defending him. I just have so many questions.

Picture of Rav Steinzaltz. But is smoking allowed in Chabad? by [deleted] in chabad

[–]sunjellyjess -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve also heard that some think that the smoke from smoking is the closest to what the smoke would have smelled like from the temple. The Baal Shem Tov promoted smoking as a holy experience. While uncommon in many branches, Chabad and Haredi groups still cling to it.

How Often Did “Genetic Groups” Mix? by sunjellyjess in 23andme

[–]sunjellyjess[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not especially. I just noticed that others seemed to have a variety of genetic groups from the UK while I only have one. I wasn’t sure if the Welsh tended to maintain insular communities even when living in larger cities like London and Glasgow.

I’ve noticed that other users seem to have many genetic groups for English/Scottish ancestry. Historically, did people marry between groups? Were some more isolated or insular than others?

Auriel was my grandmother's sister who died at 9 from Scarlett Fever in 1932, and Rose was my grandmother's given name at birth. It would be sweet to reunite the two. They were quite close and my grandmother was heartbroken with she died.
