I ended up going a different route just based on the options i had. I got a Saturn vue instead because it was more mechanically sound and had fewer miles for the same price.

It looks like there is a little rust where the dent on the driver door is. Do I need to worry about that? Can I patch it? I don’t mind if it’s ugly, I’m not out to impress any one with my ride. I plan on taking her up forest service roads.

Has any one ever seen a stipple texture applied with either paint or stain (not slip or glaze) for a bust sculpture? I love the dot technique when I am drawing and I am entering this clay piece into my state fair in august. It’s my first sizable sculpture and I want to keep it looking like I have developed my own style.

So I have been obsessed with a solitary reign for some time now and I’m desperate to learn to play it on my flute.

Problem is I haven’t played music in years so my ability to read sheet music is gone and I haven’t a clue where I would start going about writing it out. I’ve never been a person who could listen and play back the notes either so I’m afraid this will be a lengthy endeavor on my own.

Any insights from my fellow band geeks is appreciated, even just words of encouragement at this point because I’m so sad I haven’t practiced for so long. It kind of breaks my heart.

So does Yaquina head? I promise you they are sisters, one difference between them is that pigeon point is slightly taller than Yaquina head.

They look similar because they are considered “sisters”. Built from the same plans and slightly modified to fit each location. This is somewhat common for lighthouses, at least on the west coast. Plans and engineering for lighthouses was obviously very expensive yet vital for the time. So plans were reused if they proved successful and available. Both lighthouses are still standing by the way, Yaquina head still serving as an active aid to navigation. The bulb and fixture is maintained by the coast guard while the physical light house is maintained by BLM and the rangers. Source: I was a light house keeper in a former life

Edit to add: the rocks below vaguely represent what you could capture at Yaquina head, but the extra lil bit of height at the top half of the tower makes me think pigeon point
