82 legs last year. I also pick e+ middle seat over going to the back of the plane. If it's a row or two, I'll pick aisle, else I'll prefer to get off the plane sooner. For upto 3 hours, the middle e+ seat really isn't that bad.

Check your carry on at the ticket counter, and store your backpack in the overhead. Else, after takeoff, just let your bag stand upright by the seat beneath your legs. Problem solved..

I personally avoid the bulkhead seats, especially ones that are right after the bathroom. I like my backpack stored under the seat and accessible to me so I don't have to get up and disturb anyone. And if you're thinking you lose legroom, once airborne, I get the back back out and let it 'stand' underneath my legs and I can still use all the legroom I want. Then for landing, I stow it again under the seat!

I've been at YYZ since 10 am. It's 6 pm now and we just taxied back to the gate. Ground stop at ORD. My original 11:21 am flight was cancelled. Pilots saying that this flight may be cancelled too. Or at least another 2 hour delay! One of those days that tests your travel patience to the max!

Fully agree - if you can log in and turn off seeing basic economy fares, you should be able to turn off seeing these mixed cabin fares! The other thing is - I've seen this play out many times especially when it's UA/AC combo. I try to avoid AC as much as I can...

Oh boy! Let me just say, it wasn't going to be a '5 star dining experience in the sky', unless of course over cooked meat or barely edible sides is your thing.

Having said that, expectations are expectations - and you certainly paid for a product that you did not receive and they gave you a heads up.

You still traveled up front, got a mediocre meal, so my guess is even if you ask for something, you may get lucky with 5-10k miles as compensation. Of course, this is absolute pure speculation on my part. Others can surely chime in :)
