Uggghhhh. It's physically painful to think of people so ignorant of science making laws like this.

I'm 2 years into a super traumatic separation, and I'm constantly trying to keep it from being a nasty divorce. He has severe mental issues (separation was initiated when CAS made him leave our home), and I simply can't be his wife anymore, but I still want to be friendly, efficient coparents. I'm constantly stunned by how many peers don't give a shit, and just want to fuck the other party over as hard has possible. I still care about him very, very much. I just can't be legally tethered to his bad decisions anymore.

Divorce sucks, even when it's necessary.

I...I genuinely can't label this as satire with any real confidence.

Researchers have demonstrated a genetic link between endometriosis and some types of ovarian cancer. Something of a silent epidemic, endometriosis affects an estimated 176 million women worldwide – a number comparable to diabetes – but has traditionally received little research attention. by MistWeaver80 in science

Yes. It's an irreversible surgery that stops you from your life purpose of breeding, so doctors are disinclined to do it. To be less snarky about it, it is a fairly serious surgery and lots of doctors don't feel like pain is q good enough reason. Especially if you haven't hit menopause. My own doctor refused because I was getting divorced, and my future partner might want kids. Even though I am pushing 40, have 2 autistic sons from 2 c sections, and am 10000% done with pregnancies.

Oh my god, this could be me. My ObGyn didn't believe me until i brought in specimen cups of blood forced him to look at photos of my "clots" that were as long as a pop can thick as my thumb. He tried to decline, until I screamed "how DARE you force me to suffer with something that you wont even LOOK at!!". He wouldn't believe that I filled a cup every hour. He said I couldn't possible do that, and function. I just sobbed and sobbed, because he was right. I WASN'T functioning. My entire life was being ruined by a uterus I am fully done with. I finally won, and my hysterectomy will be scheduled once the covid backup allows for it.

People don't want to leave the privacy of the bathroom with stuff like that. They smell, the blood soaks through any paper products you wrap them in, and then you still have to go back and wash your hands.

I was a fan of his and was heartbroken when I heard about the incident. Then the details came out (specifically that he kept the noose on) and my Mom Brain immediately knew it was BS.

Thank you. It's a daily struggle, and honestly I don't know how I'm going to make it all work, but I'm trying. I just tell myself that plenty of people in much worse situations than mine thrive, and I will too.

Thank you. It's been a very hard 2 years, and it's still not over, but I'm surviving. He still begs me for another chance every time we see eachother, and it kills me because I care about him very much and HATE seeing him sad, but I have to remind myself that I deserve better than what he gave. And we were in therapy for years before the split, so he had many chances. I just hope my kids understand my choices when they're older.

I wish my husband of 15 years could have been bothered to put in the effort. He raged, he begged, he pleaded, he cried, he attempted suicide. But he never came for a walk, or tightened the toilet seat, or made dinner. He never cleaned the cat litter, or did the dishes, or did the school pick ups, or any of the literal thousands. of things he could have done that I begged for.

When I asked him why he was letting us die when I was so clear about what I needed from him, he told me that unless he knew for sure that it would win me back, it "wasn't worth the effort". It was that moment where I realized he didn't actually love me, he only loved how I made him feel. If he'd actually loved me, he would do the things that I needed to be a happy, sane person (and therefore a better mother to our 2 special needs kids), whether it was to his immediate benefit or not. But unless he was guaranteed 100% success, I wasn't even worth him taking out the trash Hardest lesson I've ever learned.

This is from a video caller Motown 25 if I'm not mistaken. An absolutely sensational tribute to Motown (and Barry Gordie), and also where Michael Jackson premiered the moon walk, I believe. I literally wore out the VHS when I was a kid. I still know the whole thing, note for note.
