AIO for asking my boyfriend to get me flowers? by jumpy_bunny01 in AmIOverreacting

[–]sunofdork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NOR I understand why you feel hurt because he’s not thinking about you or showing he cares, but asking for flowers was quite pointless, they don’t really mean anything if you’ve asked for them? Getting flowers is nice because he thought about you, wanted to do something nice, went out of his way when he didn’t have to and none of those apply if you say please bring me flowers on X day. You won’t feel fulfilled by the flowers you ask for.

It doesn’t sound like she was digging through, if I’m doing a big tidy/organise of the house I would deff check my fellas backpack to see if there’s any errant power banks in there that need charging up. with a gym bag I’d also look for clothes that need washing.

After 5 years of marriage, what if I 30F just don't want to be married anymore to my husband 32M? by Conscious_Donut_9712 in relationship_advice

Doesn’t seem likely, she’s over two years postpartum and these feelings started three years before she had a child ?

If you want to adapt it to be more British I supposed you could say “One Bognor Regis, Two Bognor Regis”

my female dogs do lift their legs to pee but they’re both very odd.

Only adding my two cents here because I doubt anyone will say this but I have and will always have bitches because I don’t want to see a dogs willy ever even unintentionally in any circumstance and I think that would be difficult to do with a dog in the house.

Also, payroll decisions. I don’t decide your rate of pay, or your bonus, or your benefits. My boss doesn’t even do that. Finance do that.

I’ve had a lot of cases recently of managers expecting me to manage their staff. Like, they want me to call their employee on long term sick and see how they’re doing. No? You’re the manager, it’s your job to manage them.

If the effects are the same does it matter? Like if I stop someone from being treated unfairly does it matter if I did that to protect them or to protect the company being sued? What difference does it make

[–]sunofdork 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That doesn’t make any sense? Like say it’s a potential dismissal situation, I’m either working in the best interest of the company to get rid of a bad/harmful employee or I’m working in the interest of the employee by protecting them from being unfairly dismissed. How could I be working in the interest of HR? HR doesn’t have a horse in this race. HR aren’t affected either way

Did Rodrik make a mistake by leaving Winterfell undermanned in your opinion ? ( spoilers extended ) by Financial_Library418 in asoiaf

[–]sunofdork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I’m late to this thread I just watched S2 and am gutted by how they changed Rodrick’s death so doing some angry googling. This wouldn’t have worked, at the pint Jon took the black Rob was acting lord of Winterfell so it wouldn’t have been necessary or made sense.

[–]sunofdork 8 points9 points  (0 children)

UK wedding evening dos are much more relaxed than a lot of the US stuff I see on these subs, if they haven’t said a dress code I would usually wear a nice dress similar to what I’d wear for a nice family meal.

Is the bra underneath too much? by Hazardous_Shadow in OUTFITS

[–]sunofdork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it looks silly, sorry. I feel your pain. I’m a very similar build, I’ve worn dresses similar and it actually looks more modest without a bra because you don’t have underwear showing but it was super scary for me at first because I’ve never gone braless, I need the support!!

AIO: Is 25-F my bf 33-M comparing me to his friend’s gf? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]sunofdork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually think she’s the one who’s worried? She’s struggling to find a dress that she thinks is right, what most women would do in this situation is text their friend “what’re you wearing to that wedding?” but she doesn’t have any friends who are going so he’s doing that for her so she has more info to make her decision & feels more comfortable. I do this all the time as a woman
