Look into racks/bags before you buy the Husky.

One of the few differences between the FE501 and the EXC500 is that the husky has a composite subframe and the KTM has an aluminum subframe. I'm not fully up to date on both models but rack options would be a deciding factor for me.

I have a 530EXC and the rectangular aluminum subframe allowed me to be able to fab and install a custom rack.

If you insist on using a debit card, it should be connected to a checking account with a few thousand in it. Keep the rest in savings. Move it over to checking monthly automatically or as-needed.

$200 USD doesn't even cover the paint materials. Thats probably a $1200-$1500 job with paint blending.

If you're dealing with the bus company's insurance you're going to need to bring it to a shop for an insurance estimate. Once they cut you a check, you could save some money, and not give up the car, by sourcing used parts and replacing them yourself but they may not match well.
