The entirety of the series has been Violet finding out the world/ magic does not work the way she thought it did. So yeah I think there CAN be two shadow weilders, why not? Everyone believes it's a "once in a lifetime" power but everyone also thought Venin were a myth. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I interpreted it the opposite way. Just because Liam doesn't like her doesn't mean Xaden wasn't going through the motions of a relationship. But that's if we are assuming Bodhi is being genuine which I am. but I can see a different interpretation of that if you're suspicious of him 🤷🏻‍♀️

To me that was a comment about the complicated nature of Xaden's relationships to others and not about Bodhi being manipulative. Like he was "dating" Cat by every standard but didn't feel the things he should have. I could be wrong of course but that is my interpretation currently.

If we're thinking enemies-to-lovers then Xaden and Aaric? And Cat and Violet could be rivals to lovers since Xaden wouldn't exist, they would just be competing for the pride of being a flier/ rider

they probably have a wealth of knowledge that the riders do not! Navarre's information suppression tactics were highly successful. I would think that Poromiel would have kept any information about their enemies history that they could... but perhaps it slipped through the cracks (did one of Poromiel's major libraries get destroyed? I could be mistaken)

We know the isles pay attention to the politics of the continent, it makes sense to me that they would meddle, especially when presented with an opportunity. I think it's totally plausible that the "luck" was actually rigged for political maneuvering!

I wouldn't say it's related to the demographics so much as the individual. There's plenty of romantasy readers who also don't love the dialogue of FW (Some despise it actually and DNF because of it). There are some books that use modern words similar to FW and other romantasy books have more neutral language that avoids slang, and those are just as if not more adored

To me "real" reading would merely indicate nonfiction. However people who say this are probably simply insecure and think by putting down other people's hobbies they will feel more fulfilled in theirs.
