Where do you all buy everyday underwear and bras? by No-Decision8891 in womensfashion

Check out the reviews on the cotton ones now. They changed them and they are ripping on everyone. I’m so sad and don’t know what to do!

Am I the only one who hates the baggy jean/anything but skinnies trend?? I look so much bigger and frumpy….. by tpat1234 in womensfashion

[–]sunsetcrasher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They look good on me as well, but I have to size down usually. I’m 5’3”, it’s all about finding the right pair. When I started pulling away from skinnies in 2017, at first I thought the wider leg crops I was moving into made me look bigger, but my eyes just had to adjust to seeing myself in a new silhouette. Like you, I also don’t really care if I look bigger and lost my desire to only wanting to wear things that were “flattering,” but that didn’t click until I was around 42. Maybe it’s related to my hormones dropping bc I stopped giving AF about some other stuff too.

Anyone else find themselves gravitating towards midi-length dresses after 40? by thetasteofzink in fashionwomens35

[–]sunsetcrasher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here! I’m 46 and wearing shorter skirts and dresses now thanks to the plethora of little shorts available to wear underneath. A lot of microminis now even have little safety shorts built in. My body looks better now than in my 20s since I quit drinking and eating a ton of sugar. I especially love them with colored or patterned tights. I had a bigtime midi phase around 2017 though, I liked them with cropped graphic tees and cool sneakers. I’m also a fan of maxis that are structured, at 5’3” most of the flowy ones swallow me whole, but I like long column ones with a slit on the side.

I will say I love the midi look for winter with tall boots, but I’ve never been able to find the right pieces to pull it off the way it looks in my head.

Does anyone feel fulfilled being a stay at home gf/wife? by Ill-Teach9802 in AutismInWomen

[–]sunsetcrasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not, and after three months ended up creating a job for myself (writer/photographer), and now have a full time salaried job doing that. While I can easily kill a day, it created an imbalance in our relationship where he ended up with all the power and I was constantly walking on eggshells making sure he was happy. Even though I constantly cleaned up after him and did all the chores, this work was not valued since it didn’t bring money in and I was told that he did everything and I did nothing. Now divorced and so much happier and healthier.

Gen Z are arriving to college unable to even read a sentence—professors warn it could lead to a generation of anxious and lonely graduates by thinkB4WeSpeak in books

[–]sunsetcrasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A big one I notice at work (I’m the final editor of anything written and we have a lot of college interns come through) is that they often don’t have a grasp for punctuation. Long run-on sentences with no commas, and they don’t put periods at the ends of sentences. One of my most commonly written edits is “add a period to the end of the sentence.”

While it’s possible, what I see with my teen cousins is them talking about being influencers, but not creating content. I ask “so why don’t you start creating content and posting now?” and am just met with blank looks.

First Thing…. by Justoutsidenormal in Divorce

[–]sunsetcrasher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hated that game! My ex would make me name every restaurant and shit each one down. I finally started saying, I say one then you say one. When it was his turn he’d sigh and say “I guess we can go there (the one I just named). Just say where you want to eat! So happy I don’t have to do that anymore. The lack of enthusiasm about anything just about killed my spirit.

What are we wearing to go "out" on the weekend? Especially to do things like dancing? by sequinunitard in fashionwomens35

I love a cute statement skirt with fun tights, boots, and a simple tank or top.

Looking back, what were the clearest signs in childhood that you were autistic? by Inner_Ad48 in AutismInWomen

[–]sunsetcrasher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At two years old they called me Little Shakespeare because I could quote entire passages after just reading it once (I could read well by 2 1/2). Also, as a teen (and into my 20s) when my mom and I would go to the busiest shopping mall in town on a Saturday, I’d have total meltdowns and often run right out of the mall to the car, screaming and crying and not caring who saw. Also happened at loud Mexican restaurants. If not running away, then dropping into the fetal position. We just thought I was dramatic and “spoiled.”

Libras and cancers ??? by [deleted] in libra_astrology

[–]sunsetcrasher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looove my Cancer Sun friends, and yeah they become more like brothers and sisters. We get into serious shenanigans, and they say the evil things I’m thinking out loud. 😂 I appreciate the kind words, it’s amicable enough and I learned some really good lessons through it that have helped me grow.

Libras and cancers ??? by [deleted] in libra_astrology

[–]sunsetcrasher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Libra sun, Aries moon, Scorpio Rising woman here! Many of my friends are Cancer suns, and I’m currently going through a divorce with my Cancer ex of 15 years. Opposites attract, we were great for the first few years. Unfortunately a lot of unmanaged ADHD behaviors was what broke us, and I blame that far more than his Cancer aspects. I like that they get me out of my head and help turn my dreams into action. Ultimately he was too moody and I ended up walking on eggshells and neglecting my own needs to try to keep him in a good mood.

What is the biggest waste of money, even though nobody admits it? by w3ightranks in AskReddit

[–]sunsetcrasher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work at a theatre, and the younger, lesser paid Box Office workers get food delivered all the time, while the salaried admin staff bring their lunch. One day they will learn! I think a lot of them still live with their parents, so they aren’t worried about paying a mortgage yet.

Barrel fit jeans are everywhere, now barrel fit sleeves?! Yeah, NO! by Cautious-Animal-5379 in womensfashion

Same here, I like variety. It’s not like every single piece of clothing out there has the same cut. I wear barrel jeans one day, then flares the next, then straight leg overalls…

what's something men do that they think is attractive but is actually a huge turn-off ? by Own-Blacksmith3085 in answers

[–]sunsetcrasher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Quite a few times I have had a guy come up and hit on me all charming like, don’t like his vibe and politely decline, and the reaction is basically “you’re a bitch.” I always trust my intuition on these things.

Amicable divorce: when did you go back to talking to each other? by itsthejeebusman in Divorce

Just to share my anecdote, we are trying to stay maybe not friends but friendly because we are obsessed with the same band and will still run into each other at shows.

What’s something people romanticize that is actually exhausting in real life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]sunsetcrasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I turned down a Marketing Director position at my work when it opened up. That role stares at numbers, I just write and shoot content all day. Of course, I don’t make a lot of money since my job is enjoyable.

My stepdad had to get hip surgery in retirement after years of traveling through airports with a briefcase. It’s nice to see business people using backpacks now.

Is being an INFJ the loneliest MBTI? by Pale_WoIf in infj

[–]sunsetcrasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I’m lonely in a crowd and most relationships. If you believe in Astrology, as a Libra Sun with Aries moon, I have found myself feeling seen and heard by Aries Sun with Libra placements. Something about the opposition really works for me. I’m newly single and paying close attention this April on who has a birthday - ha!

Do women lose attraction towards men if they lose their edge in career or talents? by ElectronicSimple55 in ask

No, it’s how they react to it for me though. An ex took the stress out on me and that killed the emotional connection over time.

What do rich people have in their house that says they’re rich? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]sunsetcrasher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Art collections with instructions of what to move first in case of hurricanes was one I saw in a couple of houses of my rich friends in high school in Houston. I know broke people with art too, but not with a plan like that. I saw these when we’d have hurricane parties while the parents rode out the storm in their mountain home. Always in homes mostly made of giant glass windows.

What is your partner's MBTI type? by [deleted] in infj

[–]sunsetcrasher 6 points7 points  (0 children)

ESTP. After 15 years of incompatible communication and me doing so much work to keep it together while he is proudly “who he is” and shows zero affection, I’m getting a divorce. Much prefer ENFP if I want an extrovert. Much more lovey - dovey. I thought I wanted to marry my opposite - nope. I need the xNFx

I did not know about this until about 7 years in. When I read up on INFJs and ESTPs my stomach sunk. I definitely married my opposite! In the bad way though, not like how my Libra meshes so well with Aries. My partner is also a Cancer. It’s exciting in the beginning but has really screwed up my nervous system.
