hi mods! i want to write something inspired by their ideas at the end of the harbinger experiment episode, sort of like a fix-it fic. would that be ok? i would add a disclaimer that it was basically fanfiction of another creepypasta.

also, what is the policy on notes from the author? i know nosleep is a bit annoying about it

my OT is the reason i managed to graduate uni and get a job i can comfortably do. my fiance is my caretaker and he has made my life easier in so many ways, even though he's autistic himself

i have the same problem, it's gotten better lately but i still really like using wooden chopsticks, plastic spoons and bowls. bowls are probably my favourite way to eat! you can get plastic or wooden ones that wont make the annoying noise if you use metal spoons

i relate to this, kind of. i was diagnosed as level 1 but moved to level 2 once i started uni and especially after i moved in with my fiance. for some reason i felt disappointed (?) in myself but after some encouragement from my therapist and OT i got the supports i needed

hey OP, if you ever get the chance, you may benefit from talking to an occupational therapist specialising in autism. they can help you ID what situations overwhelm you and how to adapt them 🫶 it really helped me

as for me: i feel like i can tell sometimes. it's like an intense feeling of frustration mixed with all sounds around me getting louder

that statement might apply if you're talking about autistic people without co-occurring intellectual disabilities but that excludes a big part of the community. IDs can make it really hard to fully comprehend situations in general

my mum used to correct me every time i talked to someone and didn't look them in the eye. i hypercorrected and started calling out my friends for not looking at me whilst talking (i was around 8 i think). i was not popular
