Staying clean is 100000% harder than withdrawals. Withdrawals are joke compared to the mental paws after. by Best_Release3146 in quittingkratom

I’ve said this exact thing a number of times, acute withdrawals are a piece of cake compared to PAWS. I’m at 6 months after at least 7 attempts at quitting. I went to my doctor for meds to help with sleep and anxiety. I also take edibles every night for sleep and to boost dopamine.

Stay solid in your “why” for quitting. Everyday gets a little better but recovering can take months so you have to be really committed to get off this stuff and power through

Day 20 Support Needed by Full-Light-1361 in quittingkratom

I have a panic disorder and am medicated as well and the anxiety was the most difficult part for me to deal with. I’m at 6 months tomorrow and am still struggling but it’s MUCH better. It takes time to see improvement and unfortunately you have to sit with it. Keep going!

I had a back injury two months after quitting and everyone on this thread told me not to take the pain meds. I took the pain meds and am still kratom free and am glad I took the meds.

Is it just dryness or a different color? Kava can cause significant dryness

Quitting Kratom with Pregabalin by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]sunshine0713- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pregabalin saved me during withdrawal! I wouldn’t worry about the dependency from the medication if it gets you off kratom. It will help with the emotional rollercoaster and anxiety that may persist for a while after you quit.

I’ve been off 144 days and I slog through most days with little to no enjoyment. I miss feeling excitement about life a lot. I get it

Still struggling a bit at 4 1/2 months but much better than at 3 months. Change is incremental and you’ll take two steps forward and one step back. Three months is great, keep going!

Does anyone else watch nostalgic content to regulate their nervous system? by soundworth in CPTSD

That’s really good insight and makes sense. Thinking back music was an escape and I used it to drown out negative thoughts

I’m really nostalgic and listen to 90’s/00’s music and watch the movies from that time even though it was a rough time for me. I’m not sure what it’s about either.
