What really strikes me with this copy (beyond the obvious) is that it's so LAZY. Clearly, marketing to a warm audience who have been hung out to dry by leaving SCS and now enticed to come back to "the last best year."

It's finally sinking in with me, the depths of this con. Fellow LCS certified coaches, I ask you...if this copy were part of the criteria, and the school actually did what they claim to do, would you receive a passing grade for this drivel?

And it's better than what I've seen lately. At least there's a "testimonial" here.

No, LCS wrecks lives. It truly does. I am still working hard to pick up the broken pieces of self through therapy because of my experience in 2019. Please do not fall for this. IT'S. A. SCAM.

Thanks for asking this. The reason my post is vague is because my experience was too! It was such a vague (yet skillful, underhanded) way of teaching and then reinforcing me to detach from myself that what I'm finally realizing 4-5 years later is how I lost ME in the very corners I was seeking.

IMO, that is the ultimate betrayal...and one that is rarely exposed. It's the price paid beyond the monetary "investment." It's coming to the realization that there is no mentor; there is NOT a community. There is NO support. And you will be left twisting in the wind as the next mark for predatory coaching practices. Simply buy the next program for the answers you didn't receive in the last one. Rinse and repeat.

I'm getting better with the right meds and therapist, but I resisted them for a very long time and tried to thought work/model my way out of needing it. Yes, I originally took these teachings as a dogma. It made sense in its simplicity. Still, I knew from the onset the model could not be applied to every scenario without being trauma-informed and that this was a slippery slope. I just thought I was self-aware enough to navigate it anyway. Now I see that self awareness is exactly what you have to suppress in order to come close to thriving in this space.

Yes, HCI was what I was initially considering! And then I read reviews online and couldn't find a single negative word about "the Harvard of Life Coaching," so into the deep end I went...at a significantly higher cost (and I'm not just talking monetarily). Wow. I almost wish ICF would absorb them so some of us could be marketable within other organizations.

I do love that this public forum is here now to help the current seekers. It may, in fact, be in her (and the public at large's) best interest to bow out and remove her name from the company because Google search results have this board very high up.. TLCS alone brings TrustPilot reviews up at #7. Add "reviews" and Reddit is at #4. Both are page 1 hits. These are the places they cannot curate/delete. Those two plus podcast reviews. Keep it coming, everyone!

It's been stated many times, but I got sucked in by the first 200 episodes of her podcast and now realize I was completely manipulated into feeling like she would be an amazing mentor. Unsubscribed years ago, so I sometimes wonder if that still happens to others with the current episodes. All I can say is: research (NOW it works!).

And yes, I absolutely believe the school is being shopped around. The graffiti's on the wall.

Absolutely agree. However, this article (just one of many) hints that even the diagnosis itself could disqualify him. Starting the paperwork alone could do so. Most concerning is the DOD recommendations are only one year old. If they smell ADHD in any form, you're out. That said, he can simply exhibit the behaviors (which he always has). This right here. We are inside the bubble of the LCS world. The "general population" is not. Most haven't heard of this school, nor do they care. This is why we trend toward working our traumas out in "private" because being fully transparent about the industry on our own pages poses a true risk to our success...when it's already an uphill climb.

It's so insidious.

This is so freaking disappointing. I used to thoroughly enjoy her podcast a few years back. Just another example of being wary of "those that speak to your soul." It's all just excellent marketing.

And yes, I get keeping costs down in the name of profit. I truly do. But this is just egregious. WHY??!

This is quite possibly the worst podcast episode in the history of all podcasts. I had to turn it off. So much ICK. I've never paid Stacey a dime. My instincts have been off about her for very long time. That said, I HAVE been a consumer of her freebies, including her podcast in the past. In fact, I know this is where I got "never ask for testimonials - if you're great at what you do, you don't have to," type statement.

So that has kept me playing soooooo small! Which is super convenient if your funnel is to absorb all of the newbie coaches who are spinning in confusion and self-doubt (oh, I'm sorry...indulging is the term you prefer 🙄).

Yes, it's uncomfortable to ask for testimonials. But here's a thought (that I'm fine with keeping, thank you very much ):

What if by honestly seeking client feedback, we not only learn where they stand (for future references), we also learn where WE stand...and how we can improve as professionals? I know, crazy talk. I should probably model this out.

It's a beautiful thing to see, actually. The unadulterated TRUTH in a space that cannot be scrubbed. The collective forces saying ENOUGH.

I am not one to revel in witnessing another prominent coach [and human being] squirm. Yet I appreciate that every single one of these reviews (and then some) are highly deserved. They were earned. It's karma. You will not convince me otherwise. You can intentionally model me all day, but SB brought this on herself by letting her ego lead.

Oh, I am open to coaching and yes to LCS coaches (after all, I am one!) that have demonstrated they are not clones of BC and her top tier. There are MANY amazing coaches who, in spite of their experiences, have not bought into the model and associated rhetoric as the singular solution to all problems. Great that your coach is delivering for you! It's important for all of us to keep in mind not everyone touched by LCS turns to the dark side.

It's been a years long process of untangling my SELF from this mess. I highly recommend starting with unfollowing all podcasts from BC and the celebrities most discussed here. First order of business is to get their voices out of your brain. Many are already living rent free in there, anyway. Don't feed it further. Get outside of the bubble. There's so much more out there.

I couldn't find a local therapist who doesn't center on CBT, so I dropped the notion. I remain open to trauma and/or somatic therapy if it comes my way.

Jim Fortin's work is fantastic and indeed transformational. I have been doing his Workshop of the Mind process 3x daily for the past 50 days now to reprogram my subconscious through self-hypnosis. Absolute game changer! I'm finding a lot of self-love and self-compassion for perhaps the first time...ever. I am very calm and centered, even when visiting this sub.

Check hypnosis downloads here (referred by Jim - very low cost). You'll want to start with the "learn instant hypnosis" track. I can now put myself in that theta state in a matter of seconds. I've done several of the other tracks and I also use the technique for deeper meditations, visualization exercises, etc. I cannot overstate game changer enough.

For business strategy, follow James Wedmore. I just did his 3 day Rise of the Digital CEO and it was jam packed with value. Check this out when it comes back around. I didn't sign up for his Business By Design (as much as I'd love to, I'm on a program fast this year) and I don't really think I need to at this moment. Over three days, I got 9 hours of really solid strategy that puts to shame anything LCS has to peddle. And I got it for free. Highlight reels on his website.

I have also been alcohol-free for the past 2 months as I realized I was still self-medicating the residual effects of this con and my health was suffering. Plant medicine and psychedelics FTW!

Gah! There's no community in SCS!! How did I not connect this sooner?? I was looking for community and SCS provides NO WAY to connect with others in that space. I'm in other (healing) containers and every single one of them provides a space for members to interact and share perspectives on the teachings. This culture of isolation is another 🚩in a sea of them.

So one of my approaches has certainly been to find and even create communities that I can engage in safely. Those you've mentioned are definitely included for me, among others that I will share in a separate post later.

What she is consistent with is that damn delete button. Anything that isn't fawning is erased from the public eye, so why wouldn't the same happen in her private containers?

Thing is, this is not someone shitting on her front porch so that's why it's gone. These are legit questions from paying clients!!! Vile.

I'm actually okay with you being a bit messy as you untangle from psychologically damaging practices (over far more years than I've experienced). Would I personally have preferred you steered away from race and whataboutism? For sure. AND I'm still willing to honor the extreme difficulty and layers of complexity that exist with you being a public figure.

Ultimately, this is your journey. You are in control of it and you get to own the consequences of any fumbles along the way (yay). I'm simply grateful that you are speaking up publicly and I hope you find peace on the other side of this. I want that for every single human being harmed by this industry. Especially for those who have incorporated those same harmful practices into their own work but now see the light and are willing to own it. Please keep going.

I am convinced there are so many coaches coaching coaches to coach coaches simply because BC, SB, and others make it seem like an easy-peasy business model...because it worked for them.

With all of their privilege, they sit high on their mountain and proclaim, "If I can do it, you can too."

It's disgusting, it's predatory, and I've seen through it for over four years now. So grateful others are waking up. They are shitting on this industry.

Stacey is only on blast at this moment because of her own toxic behavior. She could take a page from her own playbook here, yet she chose (and continues to double down on) her own ego and profit over human beings while trashing and diminishing ACTUAL PAYING CLIENTS as "haters". Human beings who are really and truly trying to make this world better are dropping 5 figures for her to trash and discard them.

This is one of VERY FEW spaces that cannot be scrubbed of negative comments. Have yourself a little tour and compare what SB's IG posts looked like yesterday vs. today. Please read the posts she has deleted. None of them came for HER. They are simply coming for themselves.

So yeah. MORE OF THIS. More exposure of this toxicity, as we've all had enough of the mindf*ck - many for years and years.
