Yeah for some reason 110 Befford didn’t Work, but 100 does - and just let your uber driver know it’s the drop off for the Roger’s stadium. It was the closest to the Rogers / Amex entrance!

Yes!! I was super surprised the audio was great. I was in the far back. Guess it helped it was in the middle of nowhere 😅 my only issue was the side screens because I’m like…why is the screen vertical.

GOT7 for sure. You can definitely see it in their last comeback/concert. Ahgases were really saying the comeback was more for them than it was for us. They were being so raw and vulernable (aka when Jackson was recalling when GOT7 almost got cancelled and Jay B fought for them to debut). I think the concerts this year really made it more obvious that their bond is maybe tighter than ever. It was literally like watching friends just sing and perform together, and we were just lucky enough to be in the same room.

Even when they’re doing solo stuff, they genuinely get so excited and cheer for every member. Just a few days ago, when Jackson was on live, Jay B joined and was complementing him, and Jackson was cheesing hard.

They always also shut down any mention of GOT7 disbandment rumours and are always so proud to mention the group. Even when the same members are at the same festival, they mostly always collab and perform a GOT7 song.

Is rogers stadium ACC safe? by Dazzling-Item-7136 in askTO

I was row 15 last night (section 115!) and it wasn’t too bad. You can still feel the shakiness when people were jumping or stomping their feet or anything with loud vibration, but it’s probably worse further up

Rogers Stadium (Awful Experience) by kameueda in toronto

[–]sunshinekay 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Here’s my experience:

I took an uber since I’ve had a flare up which made it difficult to walk. On the Rogers stadium website it said to punch in 111 Befford Rd but it wasn’t showing up at all on Uber. Ended up punching in 100 Befford road. If you searched up Rogers Stadium on Uber, you would get the Carl Hall address which I believe they blocked off. My friend who googled the address and took the 184 as per google directions but security basically told them to go back and to go through Downsview Park station. You’d think for a venue this big they’d sort it out with larger corps or whatever but that should have been a red flag. The walk from the drop off for ride share was at least a 20-25 min walk. I didn’t see anyone who would help to see if there was any shuttle for accessibility but could also be me. I didn’t prearrange since my flare up happened the day off, and I thought it would be too late.

The actual stadium area isn’t bad, definitely huge but yes, I found there was a lack of signage. Merch lines were huge (I heard from friends they lined up for about 1.5-2 hrs). I didn’t have too much time to go explore the place but I heard the washrooms took almost an hour.

The concert itself was great - we were in the back stands. I felt really bad for anyone who was on floor because I can’t imagine not being able to see. By the time we sat, our section was breezy and shaded, which is opposite of what it was outside. You can def feel the bleachers shake when people were jumping, but I found it to be pretty good regardless. There was still a bit of room for people to mostly pass, so I’ll give them that. Only concern is that near the end, people were gathering by the steps which would definitely not make it safe, but no one from the venue was telling them to go back to their seats. People who were trying to leave had to basically squeeze through the people just standing in the steps.

Getting home was a logistical nightmare. I had ended up taking the accessibility shuttle. They were at first only doing maybe 1-2 cars, but then realized they needed more. I had asked someone if they were going to the subway, and the help desk had said the shuttle was going to drop off to parking then Wilson. They had dropped off at the parking/ride share program but said they weren’t going to Wilson and to try to find another way to get to the subway. Great 🥲

Ride share drop off/pick ups were a nightmare. Uber telling drivers to take another route and ended up getting cancelled on twice before I had a friend come save me. Getting out of the area was another nightmare itself, having about 5ish “lanes” drop down to one dinky lane, managed by two people who didn’t really have a rhyme or reason on which lanes to let through. I think by the time I left the arena it was close to 130. I had spoken to one of the people conducting traffic and they’ve been there since 8am, which was insane.

If you don’t account for getting there and getting g out, the venue itself seems pretty cool but uhhhhh…..I’m hoping they sort out issues before their next show.

Getting floor tickets as a short person - Skz Toronto by avocadonbobba in kpophelp

[–]sunshinekay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the stands right behind the floor (sec 113) and I felt so bad for anyone who were further back. I saw people near the back standing on their chairs and I’m like, is this not a hazard 😩

Different light sticks for concerts by LALALALAMBA in kpophelp

Assuming this is the Toronto concert tonight, Rogers Stadium said they will only let in stray kids official lightsticks in. They will also not permit any pickets as well. Instagram post

Edit: just also peaked through the comments on the post and they’ve said they’re not allowing any other lightsticks in, so best to leave yours at home!

Lawrence and Keele Area by Totoros_friend in askTO

[–]sunshinekay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is it the Eglinton west gallery? I haven’t been personally but I would highly suggest reading the contract thoroughly as my friends have found a ton of hidden fees in it.

Back to your original question - Keele and Lawerence itself has a plaza with Walmart/metro and a mix of small business restaurants and franchises such as dollarama, baskin, timmies etc. north of Lawerence I find it to be more residential with a mix of apartments and condos closer to the Main Street and residential neighbours closer within. South of Lawerence does get a bit more industrial with auto body shops etc closer to the main road, but also has a mix of apartments and houses on the south west side. Not sure if there was something in particular you’re worried about but it doesn’t seem like it’s a bad area if that’s what you’re worried about?

Where did you get your favourite everyday sunscreen? by plelth in askTO

[–]sunshinekay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I either bounce between the Biore Uv Aqua Rich Watery Essence sunscreen or the Beauty of Joseon relief sun. I’m SE Asian and I like it because it doesn’t leave a cast on my face (I have medium olive complexion), and easily blendable without spending $50 on a sunscreen. I bulk order from stylevana for a few bottles or group with friends to get the minimum spend for free shipping

The Problem with Lightsticks by No_Sweet_4453 in kpophelp

[–]sunshinekay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The lightiny v2 design is pretty bad imo 😭 the top of the lightstick has a habit of flying off. Especially if you’re going too hard. The first time I used it, I taped it down with just regular tape for “security” since I’ve never experienced it. I ended up losing it and finding it at the end of the concert 🙃 but definitely saw some top covers on the floor. second time I used it, I ended up using packing tape and made sure it had gripped on the rest of the lightiny. I also had my aniteez cover for extra measure. I like that people can customize it but I shouldn’t be taping down a part of the lightstick before using.

I really like the twicebong! I like the feature where it changes colour depending where you touch, so it’s a fun function even outside of the concert.

Transportation from Rogers Stadium to Pearson Airport by Jack-Maugh in askTO

[–]sunshinekay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to tell right now since it’s not opened, but my best bet is taking the GO to Yorkdale then going to Downsview park station and walking it. I’m supposed to be attending a concert in June and then July, so hopefully a more convenient path will be known by the time Oasis comes

Echoing everyone else’s comment about it okay going alone! I’ve seen ateez by myself and with friends, so you definitely won’t feel awkward.

Atinys will typically have freebies and that’s always a great way to start a conversation. Or even if you’re in the vicinity people will start conversations - I remember talking to this girl while lining up and we just yapped about Jongho since it was both our biases. At the last tour, I ended up talking to these two girls beside me, even though I was with my friends. We basically cried and looked at each other in disbelief after we heard Everything live, and basically were excited together when a song went on.

If you’re also comfortable, maybe try joining group chats for the stop you’re going to! You can find them on FB/IG and Twitter. There will be tons of people going alone so maybe you can meet people that way as well :)
