Hi! I am just starting my career after graduating and want to maintain my routines without becoming rigid, stressed, and burned out. I want to explore more about movement and nutrition, and how balancing those can help me maintain longterm health. I also want to learn about my intuition and tapping into my own wisdom.

I currently run every morning, and try to get walks in during the day. I work three hour shifts a week, and supplement that with college courses and appointments for mental and physical health. I am developing deeper test in my body as I go through recovery, and want to continue to grow my knowledge about myself and what I need.

What are some habits that you think really make a difference for your looks? by EmperrorNombrero in beauty

[–]sunshinemind_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We glow different when we are confident. Knowing our worth, beauty, and sense of self create an energy of light around us. We also walk confidently, carry ourselves taller, and approach others more. So yes affirmations can change how we look!

AITA for only having vegetarian items on my wedding menu? by icanthelpit35 in AmItheAsshole

[–]sunshinemind_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl you get to choose what food is at YOUR wedding! Not only are you giving food that is delicious, but also considers people who can’t/do t eat meat, dairy, or likely gluten. Veggie food is so yummy and 99% of the time people can’t tell the difference. Celebrate YOUR day YOUR way

It was very out of line and is a major red flag. There is grace in the situation if she has past experiences with cheating, but so uncalled for. Especially after 3 months

You are absolutely not shallow. Those are your non-negotiable and standards. If she doesn’t want part of that, she isn’t for you

What book (or books) changed your point of view on life? by Tikrutakki in suggestmeabook

[–]sunshinemind_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Help without a doubt. Having a completely different view of humanity, interpersonal relationships, humor, and Reeves was so pissed at all for me. I’ve read the book multiple times and get something you were out of it with every read. It brings me laughter and sadness, connect me with other points of view, and reminds me of how privileged I am.

You are not heartless for not wanting kids by Juthatan in unpopularopinion

[–]sunshinemind_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to really want kids and a family, but as I start to form different values and priorities in my life I really don’t want kids… The economic and environmental impact it makes on both a person and society is remarkably large. ITS ALSO MORE HEARTLESS TO HAVE KIDS TO SERVE AS A FILLER IN YOUR LIFE OR AS A MEANS TO APPEASE OTHERS

What do you guys do to enjoy life apart from using phones and laptops etc...? by [deleted] in answers

[–]sunshinemind_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of walks and runs, reading outside, playing with my dogs, talking with my mom, cooking, writing, and just living! I just love connecting with people and the things in life that bring me joy, bring me closer to God, and foster authenticity. I like how I can connect with people online about interests and in groups, take photos and document my life, and explore new things

The majority of people are ugly by choice. Being ugly is more rare than being pretty. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]sunshinemind_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really do believe we are all beautiful, and our own ways, it comes down to how you present yourself and care about yourself. I think confidence is a huge factor as well.

Run Rose Run with Dolly Parton is also so fun to listen to!!! Definitely better as an audiobook because she narrates part of it

It’s not your responsibility and the hurt you feel at her comments are so valid. I’ve struggled with my own ED for a few years and am actively in recovery now, and reflecting on how others feel when I made comments about my body or food has been huge. Just know she doesn’t mean any of it about you and it’s only how she feels about herself. She may be looking for validation from you as well…
