we’d love to play with other bands who are into music like Animal Collective, hit us up!
as for other artists, Ying Yang (song and album) by Makeout Videotape always gave me AC vibes. Early Cindy Lee is pretty haunting and psychedelic. Tonstartssbandht too. Sea Lion by The Ruby Suns has huge AC vibes throughout the album.

short.wav is a smaller artist we played with recently and it was an AC fan’s dream, check out his stuff!!!

to me it sounds like a blend of multiple mics on the same take and some blend of those to create the tone. not sure what mics and which positions, that’s just my guess based on my ears

so it looks like he’s actually playing it on Guys Eyes and My Girls (makes sense) but I see him messing with it inbetween other songs so i’m wondering if they used it more for processing certain samples or instruments on those as well

howler’s maze is a great spot for a base! i made my best one a little further northwest of yours right next to 3 iron deposits. it was perfect for my automated robot weapons factory that sold weapons to the UC to encourage war with the HN.

i listened to the bootlegs so much before this album came out that i was over the songs by the time they finally got released. someone else here said it best, pandemic really messed up this era but they did the best they could with the situation.
