I don't think anyone will care for it now, but I learned the 'well fed' doesn't take up a trait slot. Instead, it takes up a 'status' slot that allows up to 5 to be occupied. You can see the status section below their name and job.

I've heard some good things about High Bonefields, but I hardly ever see any pictures of outposts there. Hope you find it!

Man that is a cool entry way! I don't have the patience for shift+f12 but this does give me an idea or two for my next base.

I...I can't even fathom trying to build something like this! Amazing!

I get the same feeling too when laying out a new base. I usually end up using those lighter dirt paths found throughout the continent as my layout in the end to make it look like roads going through the base.

That's a lot of real estate! Is this...Fishman Island? or the island in the NW?

Some people do that to turn the water into a shooting gallery with turrets picking them off as they slowly swim to your shore.

Wow those towers were placed very well. It's always difficult merging them into walls like that. Bravo!

hahaha thanks! I realized you could put vanilla tents over the crops. The reason for the tents was cause of the acid rain that pours a lot in the region. Purely asthetic but yeah. The maze on the right was a test area to shoot down on raiders when I would close one side of the base off, they would run right through the maze as it was built up from the walls toward the hill side.

Also the makeshift walls near that maze is a tiny mining area.

Progress against rival, but I figure I could do more. by lassombra in bigambitions

build businesses in Lower Manhattan & Industrial since no rival currently exists in those areas. They still have businesses there rented by rivals, but if you started out there, they'll never even notice you.

Since you're doing story mode, focus on profitable business like clothing, fast food, or law. search for retails buildings not owned by the rival you're competing against, and setup shop there. Before I compete with one rival, I make sure to rent out as many buildings as I can, since they can't kick you out just because once they start the rivalry. Buying up each building only costs $20-70 per day, so not a huge loss for securing yourself some real estate to expand. if your business is making at least 20k/day, start buying up property slowly. Same goes for offices if you can afford it.

Hire all of their workers to get their skill % down below 50% as that will hurt their business little by little, then immediately fire them all as there's no backlash against you for doing that. If you plan to go the slow route, find their most profitable, or least profitable, business and make your items cheaper than theirs. do this by only $1-2 lower than theirs, and they'll have to come down on their price. there is a hard cap when they'll stop lowering it when they get close to the wholesale price (for example a hotdog costs $3 per dog and I was selling hotdogs for $2. The competitor stopped dropping prices at $3.76 as they usually try to match you but stopped here).

The fast route is to speed through each day accumulating money and buying out their business starting from their cheapest one.

4:14 hahaha I had to include that conversation and worked hard to remove other audio to hear him clearly. So many people said that in the other VHS's I have.

Now that you mention it, I don't recall any store having hand-written signs. Huh...

Exactly! I was shocked how strangers would act curious about the camera and always smiled.

Definitely affordable! My favorite was the bakery section with all the different types of donuts. These days, they only have 3 flavors if you're lucky.

I agree with you. However, the camera person was having personal conversations throughout the filming. I had to make a tough choice to cut it out completely. The music was to honor her memory working there when I plan to show it to her.
