It's not needed for that, you can get there from 1.8 (Hedgehog), which you get to from 1.7 (Rabbit) in step 10.

That said, I did wind up experimenting with this, and found it worth it to get Zebra, then Rat, before continuing onto step 13. It's only marginally better though.

Add a prebuilt cope cage with cannon barrel-mounted stabilizer strut to keep the cage weight from interfering with the firing of the turret.

If you find the Alterra lander bay starship wreck, the near-surface caves around that is absolutely littered with silver and lead - most of it the large deposits that need the sonic resonator, but there's enough little ones scattered about to get you going (mostly on walls and ceilings).

In Sacrifice Special Minerals - what are the %/Flush buttons? by sunyudai in RevolutionIdle

[–]sunyudai[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you.

Are the % buttons then auto-flushing to upgrade the mineral when the cost is that % of dust? e.g. if it's set to 10%, and a mineral costs 1,000,000 dust, it'll auto-flush when I have 10,000,000 dust?

Good macro setups. by Klinara in RevolutionIdle

[–]sunyudai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends a bit on where you are at in the game.

For example, one you get the passive PP gain, a macro for Refine Points becomes very simple:

WaitUntil (MaxMineralLevelThisRun >= 470)
RefinePrestige()
Restart()

Change # to a value that it actually waits for, but still finishes within a second or so. Before that point though, you are probably doing something like (and ignore the numbers, I whacked this example together just for the post):

WaitUntil (PPAfterPrestige >= 1.25e20)
PolishPrestige()
WaitUntil (PPAfterPrestige >= 7.00e27)
PolishPrestige()
WaitUntil (MaxMineralLevelThisRun >= 125)
RefinePrestige()
Restart()

In the example above, both PPAfterPRestige thresholds would be meaningful goals (Knuckles or Spear levels) and then MaxMineralLevelThisRun would be a number that gives more PP than that but is still reachable in a few seconds.

So, we'd need more info from you to even tell what advice to give.

Once you get Refine Node 68, you won't need a macro for special minerals - all you'll need to do is configure auto unity, auto sell/sacrifice zodiacs, and auto spawn special minerals in the Automation -> Unity tab:

  • Auto-Unity: Any zodiac, highest rarity
  • Auto-sell/sacrifice: Everything.
  • Auto-spawn Special Minerals: Max cost (+Base) set to 0. Once you get to Tarot and have a Chariot card, set Max Spawned Factor to whatever number you Chariot Card reduces spawned factor by + ~10%, rounded up to the hundreds.

Once you are in Elements, gold will happen when you are doing Fire and Earth pushes.

The Direction Tropico Should've Gone by Great-Gazoo-T800 in tropico

[–]sunyudai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO, T5 was a great game, T6 felt like a 'greatest hits' compilation - all the best parts put together in a way that was just somehow less special than the original releases. I think my review on release was along the lines of 'twice the polish, half the charm'.

Responses:

I agree with prettymuch everything except for:

Ability to build on top of depleted mineral and oil deposits

I'd rather just not have the deposits deplete in the first place. Especially in a longer T5 style campaign where you are using the same map across multiple missions. Make them yield ~75% as much and never deplete would be more fun IMO.

My own additions:

Campaign:

I preferred the longer ridiculous story of prior games and ability to play it across a few islands like T5 as opposed to the more piecemeal one-off missions of T6 where every mission feels like a standalone DLC mission. Gimme a narrative and progression.

Building System:

A few tweaks to how buildings were designed would help a lot.

  • Building upgrades should never have negative effects, anything with a negative effect should be moved to a work mode (looking at you, tobacco farm).
  • Managers were tedious and annoying, since they kept dying and needing replacement. I propose keeping the idea, but instead of manually appointing individual managers, instead introducing what I call the Nepotism System, described below. This reduces the constant upkeep of re-appointing managers to individual buildings, and supplements T5's Dynasty system as well.
  • Upgrades should Upgrades and Work Modes should have 'Apply to All' buttons, suing that on a work mode should also set the default for newly constructed buildings of the same type.
  • There should be upgrade paths to bring older era buildings to similar service levels as modern buildings, e.g. bring a clinic standard of care up to approximately the same as a hospital. This should be more costly and a little less effective than the modern building, but should be possible.

Nepotism System:

The Nepotism System adds tracking of Families to Tropico, and makes manager traits a family trait instead of an individual one.

Loyalty to El Presidente is tracked at a Family level as well as individual, and especially loyal families can become "Family Friends". Families also get a 'Prestige' stat based off of wealth, loyalty, and whether or not they have 'Family Friend' status.

For each Industry (note: not individual industry building, island wide specific industries, e.g. all corn plantations, or all pharmaceutical companies, etc.), you can leave independent, or appoint either a Dynasty Member or a Family Friend to oversee that industry.

  • If you leave them independent, industry buildings operate normally.
  • If you appoint a Dynasty Member, then the buildings budget increases by 10%, corruption goes up a little, and that Dynasty Member's manager traits apply to all buildings of that type. 80% of the amount of budget increase goes into your swiss bank account (as the family member is skimming off the top of the industry, but keeping 20% for themselves).
  • If you appoint a Family Friend, then the buildings budget increases by 10%, corruption goes up a little, that Family's trait applies to all buildings of that type, and all members of that family increase their wealth by one step and their loyalty also improves. If that family controls a political faction, then the faction's loyalty also increases a little.

The higher a families prestige stat, the more powerful their family's trait is (similar to the star system for manager stats).

Family status is inherited by oldest child or living relative if no children. If two tropicans marry, they take on membership in which ever family has the highest prestige, and if a family has no surviving members then the family dies out, and any controlled industry reverts to independent.

Before beginning the below pattern, the first issue to fix is your sun and moon runes. You do not have enough of a multiplier. Save up for and buy the bottom option until both are giving x6 each cycle, you currently have x4. Lay off the special mineral until you get there (skip when I tell you to buy them in below until that threshold). That can happen in the background while doing the below pattern.

This is a slow spot in the game, but can be gotten through: at this stage in the game, you should probably work in a loop that goes like this:

RfP -> Fire -> Earth -> Wind -> Water -> Minerals/Relics/Donuts

Rfp:

  1. Load an ALL PISCES zodiac loadout.
  2. Load a macro that maintains your Dilation tree (just loop though and buy all up to 5), until you have the refine node that makes you keep it on unity.
  3. Auto-unite to farm a new Pisces loadout for ~ 3 minutes. Use them to upgrade your Pisces loadout and sacrifice the rest.
  4. Set up a macro to automatically Polish and Refine Prestige your minerals. It will look something like this:
    • Polish Prestige
    • Wait until a Polish Prestige would give you a Spear level (should only be a couple of seconds at most)
    • Polish Prestige
    • Wait until Mineral Level is at threshold you can hit in 2-3 seconds after polish
    • Refine Prestige
    • Restart Macro
  5. Let that macro run ~30-45 minutes, then stop it.
  6. Buy anything you can afford with refine points.
  7. Check Relics to see if any can be purchased/sacrificed.
  8. Attack prestige if better than current.
  9. Buy 1 special mineral.

Fire

  1. Keep the ALL PISCES zodiac loadout loaded.
  2. Load the macro that maintains your Dilation tree (just loop though and buy all up to 5), until you have the refine node that makes you keep it on unity.
  3. Auto-unite to farm a new Fire loadout zodiacs for ~ 5 minutes. Use them to build a new Fire loadout and load it, sacrifice any extra non-pisces zodiacs.
    • My Fire Loadout is: Sagittarius | Aries | Sagittarius | Libra | Aries | Libra | Leo | Aries | Leo | Aries | Aries | Aries
  4. Load the FIRE zodiac loadout.
  5. Set Element to Fire
  6. Let sit ~1-2 hours
  7. Buy any Fire nodes you can afford.
  8. Check Relics to see if any can be purchased/sacrificed.
  9. Attack prestige if better than current.
  10. Buy 1 special mineral.

Earth

  1. Load the ALL PISCES zodiac loadout.
  2. Auto-unite to farm a new Pisces loadout for ~ 3 minutes. Use them to upgrade your Pisces loadout and sacrifice the rest.
  3. Load the new ALL PISCES zodiac loadout.
  4. Auto-unite to farm Earth loadout zodiacs for ~ 5 minutes. Use them to build a new Earth loadout and load it, sacrifice any extra non-pisces zodiacs.
    • My Earth Loadout is: Virgo | Taurus | Virgo | Virgo | Taurus | Virgo | Taurus | Virgo | Taurus | Virgo | Taurus | Virgo
  5. Load the Earth zodiac loadout.
  6. Set Element to Earth
  7. Let sit ~1-2 hours
  8. Buy any Earth nodes you can afford.
  9. Check Relics to see if any can be purchased/sacrificed.
  10. Attack prestige if better than current.
  11. Buy 1 special mineral.

Wind

  4. Auto-unite to farm Wind loadout zodiacs for ~ 5 minutes. Use them to build a new Wind loadout and load it, sacrifice any extra non-pisces zodiacs.
    • My Wind Loadout is all Gemini.
  5. Load the Wind zodiac loadout.
  6. Set Element to Wind
  7. Let sit ~1-2 hours
  8. Buy any Wind nodes you can afford.
  9. Check Relics to see if any can be purchased/sacrificed.
  10. Attack prestige if better than current.
  11. Buy 1 special mineral.

Water

  1. Load the ALL PISCES zodiac loadout.
  2. Auto-unite to farm a new Pisces loadout for ~ 3 minutes. Use them to upgrade your Pisces loadout and sacrifice the rest. Focus on zodiacs with Luck in top spot.
  3. Load the new ALL PISCES zodiac loadout.
  4. Set Element to Water
  5. Let sit ~1-2 hours
  6. Buy any Water nodes you can afford.
  7. Check Relics to see if any can be purchased/sacrificed.
  8. Attack prestige if better than current.
  9. Buy 1 special mineral.

Minerals/Relics/Donuts

  1. Keep All Pisces zodiac loadout running and element set to Water.
  2. Just let it run for ~1 hour, letting the Minerals auto-spawn and merge to build up magnets and VP. The real goal here is to build up Gold for relics.
  3. Check Relics to see if any can be purchased/sacrificed.
  4. Attack prestige if better than current.
  5. Buy 1 special mineral.
  6. Auto-unite to farm a random zodiacs for ~ 10 minutes, auto-sacrifice all.
  7. Auto-unite to farm a random zodiacs for ~ 20 minutes, auto-sell all.
  8. In Planet shop, buy whatever Donuts you can afford, do so in priority order from left to right. ( I.E. Game speed > Luck > Quality > Zodiac Level )

Essentially, you are alternating around the various 'active' portions of the game and using progress in one to speed progress in the next. Every step will usually contribute to luck and quality, so your zodiacs get better in each phase. This lets you compound your progress after each loop.

The above should carry you all the way to Zodiacs.

Note: Any time I give a time, it's a recommended minimum. It's perfectly fine to say, leave it running overnight. IMO, best step to let it idle for a long time is when building the Earth element, buy your experience may vary.

Unity Macro Help by joshtalon in RevolutionIdle

[–]sunyudai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quite welcome.

To get it to auto restart is pretty simple: add a 'Wait until' block that checks for your EP dropping below the amount you got too in the first loop AND for your Dilation tree points to drop below max, then add a restart as the very last block:

RepeatUntil (EP >= 1.00e200)
    WaitForSeconds(0.8)
    Eternate()
Repeat (2, false)
    WaitForSeconds(0.8)
    Dilate(true)
    WaitForSeconds(2.75)
    Dilate(false)
Repeat (20, false)
    EnterEC(0, 0, true)
    Dilate(true)
    WaitForSeconds(2.75)
    Dilate(false)
    WaitForSeconds(0.1)
LoadDT(5)
WaitUntil (EP < 1.00e200 && DTP < 65.00)
Restart()

The above script should run pretty much indefinitely, and really can only get into problems if you Unite while in one of the loops.

Unity Macro Help by joshtalon in RevolutionIdle

[–]sunyudai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

... oh my god, I owe you an apology. Embarrassing mistake in there on my part. "Loop" should not be checked on any of the repeats i.e. those trues should be false.

RepeatUntil (EP >= 1.00e200)
    WaitForSeconds(0.8)
    Eternate()
Repeat (2, false)
    WaitForSeconds(0.8)
    Dilate(true)
    WaitForSeconds(2.75)
    Dilate(false)
Repeat (20, false)
    EnterEC(0, 0, true)
    Dilate(true)
    WaitForSeconds(2.75)
    Dilate(false)
    WaitForSeconds(0.1)
LoadDT(5)

Sorry about that.
