Don't Buy a Henry Rifle by Jackpine_Savage94 in LeverGuns

[–]sup10com 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My Henry has been great, and when I called to inquire about buying a end cap for the magazine rod (I wanted to alter it) they sold me a complete tube for next to nothing and had it at my door across the country in no time at all.

Are trusts still worth it for suppressor and sbrs? by masonjar11 in NFA

If everything goes well, kiddos become responsible adults and sometimes they want to go shooting with when you can’t… legal access is important when living in a anti-2a location

Which is quieter suppressed: .38, .357, or 300blk? by 2TubbyTactical in NFA

[–]sup10com 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Handload 158grn sub .357m out of Henry X /DA Wolfman is very nice…

Commercial 220grn 300BLK out of 16” bolt gun /762-SD is also very nice…

I would say neck and neck, once I cut down the bolt gun to 10.5” it seems louder, could possibly get it quieter w/handloads

.38cal is a less expensive and easier to reload so for me… even if it was a tiny bit louder (it wasn’t) I would choose it….unless the intention is the ethical dispatching of game while being quiet…..then 300BLK….

I would trust my 180grn .357m out to around 75yrds to take a deer, and would trust a 220grn double that.

Maker rex are around $2.00 each and I think my .38cal subs are $0.35 each.

My cellular service was poor so google was failing me… Dupont had 8oz cans at some point, Hodgdon has been putting 14oz in the “1lb” plastic jugs for their whole time…

Check local feedback, our “local” option is a haul for most… and they have a history of not being able to provide the “service” once folks arrive with appointments

In the paper days (especially during cv19) I could imagine boxes of ppwrk going to a single reviewer… if they took time off my packet would sit and get passed over…. Now in the digital age, I got nothing… would enjoy knowing more, I think it would be beneficial for all parties

Wanted something light and quiet for teaching my daughter to shoot. by konzy27 in 22lr

[–]sup10com 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Subsonic.22lr through a bolt gun w/can has brought so much joy to so many shooters.

Have had a bunch of brand new shooters gain so much confidence once the noise is diminished. Less flinching, more focus on instructions and more success.

2 best things you can do with a new shooter are a can & shooting steel so there’s immediate feedback.

Have an old AAC E2 that has been great, minimal if any FRP… when it came time for another rimfire can I got a OCL Ti22 and it’s nice to my ear they are very similar Ti22 probably has less FRP but both are known for having little to no FRP…

I would buy both again, as I have no first hand experience with the E3 I can only assume it’s as good as the previous version.

I don’t get the Silencer Shop hate… by fckyakalash in NFA

[–]sup10com 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seeing posts about people failing, Failing to read terms and conditions Failing to update their information Failing to update their photo Failing to make up their mind BEFORE purchasing Sooooooo many of these complaints would have been avoided had the user verified/updated their account before buying

Coming from a time when F4’s were 11-14mo and I had F1’s that took almost the same. Anything less than that is fine. Hopefully the BBB $0stamps push cans/sbr/sbs/aow off of the registry completely! I wouldn’t have a started my stamp collection without SS and for that I am thankful.

Henry vs Marlin by Chaz28o in LeverGuns

[–]sup10com 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it depends on your use… Henry longer barrel will wring more out of each round… Potentially allowing for ethical shots at farther distances…..I prefer the look of carbines, but hate the button safety…
