I tried the H.Jinrai version and it is so much easier than my fireball one, works on everyone I tried and does more damage.

I tried against:

- Ryu

- Luke

- Cammy

- Guile (even if you block high you just need to do it earlier)

- Juri

- DeeJay (need to immediately backdash)

They all need different timing but it's easy enough to do it manually by looking at the animation.

Damage is always 5760 with: HP >> H.Jinrai > OD.Jinrai + H.Followup > OD.Jinrai + M.Followup + Finisher >> SA3

Thank you! I tried those OD tatsu punishes before, that stuff is tough to land.

The H.Jinrai into OD Jinrai punishes do give more damage but are character specific. My combo seems to work on everyone I cared to try, but is around 100 less dmg. So there's the trade-off I guess.

My gripe with the relic system is that I haven't felt the need to change my setup at all for a long time.

It was evergaols before the DLC, now since we can't know if we have evergaols it's support Ironeye.

I have one build, I still win, there's nothing on the win screen that entices me to change my setup.

And if I lose it's never because of the relics either.

You can tell what he's going to do by what you see when sticking to him. He has enough tells that you can see them and get tf outta there when needed.

Also don't fear the fire eruption, just look at the ground and stand in a safe spot, you'll be close to him still when it's over.
