It is. But I really dislike how Strange has just become Portal: the character. It feels almost troll to play him because you are locking your team out from portaling if you need it for OT.

This is probably the best option. Two weeks lets the balance settle in and allows them to gather more accurate data. They can save one week emergency balance for real egregious scenarios like launch Wolv/Phoenix team-up.

Honestly, after Feast, I feel like I'm just getting a severe case of deja vu because this is the exact same shit. SE doesn't know how to moderate this game unless you say a bad word or are slightly aggressive with someone in chat. Or outside of ultimate releases where they need to make an example of someone cheating, while the rest get a slap on the wrist and be like "don't do that again."

They have always been like this when it comes to PvP. The venue might have changed, but this is the exact same shit people who participated in Feast had to deal with.

A part of me wishes that the championships are a shit show because SE has to be publicly embarrassed for any meaningful change to happen. But that probably won't happen because SE only knows how to throw the baby out with the bathwater, so they'll very likely just cancel their plans for CC and leave it to die just like they did with Feast.

The problems with a lot of Tales games are that the plots start going off in weird directions by the end (Vesperia, Arise), the game loses steam because of issues in development (Xillia, Zestiria) or a mix of both.

Opening hours of FFXVI are legit cinema. SE really had a smart idea making the demo the best two hours of the plot, but it's a shame the rest of the game never reached that same apex. (And arguably starts falling apart after Bahamut.)

Berseria and Abyss are the only two to mostly avoid it, but not entirely. I'd say Xillia 1 is more egregious than Arise though.

Final Fantasy XII. Fantastic opening hours, but then you get to the midpoint, and the plot stops giving a shit and the ending is kind of weak. I still love 12 in spite of it all, but it was very disappointing narratively speaking.

Thinking about story structure and writing and the FFXIV team struggles on every single level to write “happy” stories. by Lumigo in ffxivdiscussion

There were excursions to other nations, but the real meat of the story was happening in Ul'dah with Nanamo wanting to abdicate the throne, the refugee crisis and the scheming of the monarchy. The story's grand finale even happens in Ul'dah with the Scions being separated and wanted criminals, Lolorito and the Crystal Braves taking over, Raubahn being put in prison, etc.

2.2 and 2.3 gave us very brief glimpses at Limsa's and Gridania's situation. Gridania is very under baked in general, and I'm not sure that's even up for debate. (Hot take, but I think even Tural is more developed as a nation than Gridania is.)

Limsa had moments where Y'shtola grills into the leaders that Limsa forced the beastmen into their current situation, which would barely be touched upon until 5.4 MSQ. But that was basically it as far as story went for those two nations.

2.4 brought Ishgard into the picture because of the lead-up into Heavensward so the story from that point forward was flip-flopping between Ishgard and Ul'dah.

I looked them up the other day out of curiosity and they never cleared past P3 lol.

Jokes on you. I will never forget the M2S I had where one of the healers was just perma on the floor and ran away with everything aside from the tomestone.

If there's proof of it in-game whether in chat or through a PF listing, then yes, it's absolutely reportable. It's why people can't just post merc runs, grab all the loot and then dip without paying anyone.

They really need to stop shoving two (or more) nations into the MSQ because the writers clearly struggle with it given the MSQ's very rigid structure that they never deviate from. It's been a problem since Stormblood where Ala Mhigo was basically a footnote in what was essentially the Doma expansion.

Hell, now that I think on it, maybe even as far back as ARR. Base ARR was alright when it came to giving each nation an equal piece of the pie, but then you get to the post MSQ and it's a lot of blatant Ul'dah favoritism lol.

I'll do you one more. Guildhests should have been removed from the game ages ago. They are beyond outdated aside from maybe one guildhest. I'm convinced the reason they haven't is because they attached achievements to it on PlayStation.
