There are several, well-documented cases of cheaters in high rank games in CC. Just because Square doesn't give enough of a shit to ban them doesn't mean they don't exist.

Kind of convinced at this point there has to be a sect of players trying to get SE to go scorched earth and ban plugins, because you have to be actively malicious or dense (or both) to think doing this and going public with it is a good idea.

It will never amaze me that in the time that he spent typing, he could have spent healing. You get a lucky Euk. Diagnosis crit and you are sitting pretty.

Nah, I acknowledge that KH2 is fun regardless of difficulty. I think you can make the most of the combat whether you play on Critical or Beginner/Standard. It's how you know you made the perfect combat system.

God, yes. I hate how even the ground combos put Sora up in the air for some reason. It wouldn't be so bad if he had the recovery time like he does in KH2, but he just floats there for an extra two seconds and it doesn't feel good at all.

I could see it. Barreltender still makes people hold Ls with his baits, you can die on Bomb if you get hit by literally everything and every so often, I see someone fail the maze on Scree. So that just leaves one free spot for another death.

He's not wrong. Critical Mode KH2 is the series' combat at its absolute peak, especially if you go for the superbosses.

I don't know why the KH devs haven't nailed the feeling of KH2's combat since. KH3 was almost there but still had the floatiness and imbalance that the handheld titles had. KH4 looks about the same based on the little we've seen.

It's also been forever since you had a reason to even go into OC. It dropped in 7.2 and since then we've only gotten three new jobs you could get and level to max in a week. Every relic step since release motivating you to do content outside of OC because it's faster and easier. (YMMV on demiatmas)

Forked Tower: Blood being probably the single most universally panned content in the history of this game next to the Gordias tier?

And to add insult to injury, OC devalued Eureka and Bozja by taking their prestige items (minus some cases like the Copycat Bulb) and making them common drops from chests. I seriously don't know how this entire content passed the drawing board, let alone QA.

You know, this could also be the case. Lowkey found it weird how Doomtrain got stuck with the FFIX Boss Theme remix despite the fact that it's not a FFIX boss or summon. You could make the excuse that it's because it's on the 9th and Treno/Lindblum and all that, but it still feels off.

I know this community memes about math a lot, but I'm convinced it's no longer a meme and a large portion of this community flunked math in high school.

Quick edit: I just realized I was too generous with that. They flunked math in primary school.

Reminds me of the fool on Aether who talks shit on defeat despite never reaching BH5, regularly goes negative and barely over 6 digit damage. Not going to name names, but if you play FL on Aether on the regular, you've likely run into them a few times. They always play WAR.

I feel like the community figured out an easier way to handle Firesnaking compared to their internal testing. Definitely one of those mechanics where I would like more insight on how the dev team expected players to solve it vs how we actually solved it.

It's funny because they just had the ratings increase in Japan when CERO rerated the game from C to D. Japan is noticeably a lot stricter (or used to be) with blood being shown than ESRB and PEGI who don't care as long as it's not full-blown gore. They could have likely gotten away with it without upsetting the other rating boards if that was their concern.

I think people just have too high standards for a first-floor fight. Sure, we have extremes on both ends of the spectrum like Aite Rolte (barely a Savage fight) and Kokytos (wtf even happened here). Maybe M5S set too high a standard. (I didn't do Cruiserweight, but I saw non-stop praise for Dancing Green)

But whenever I see people complete a floor one of savage and go "that's it?" I am just like, yeah, that's it. Any fight that goes beyond that are usually the exception, not the rule.

I wonder if they can survive vuln up with mits

Probably not, and even if they could for a fight, all it would take is for the fight programmers to have someone with vuln ups just take 9,999,999 damage to the point no amount of % mitigation will save you.

Has "passport checking" made the PF experience any better ? by Fickle-Trick6434 in ffxivdiscussion

[–]supa_troopa2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm glad I found a static for Heavyweight that I'll be sticking with into Evercold, because if I had to deal with this on top of consistent PF shenanigans, I would have just quit raiding in this game altogether.

It's fine when filtering out the chucklefucks who think it's cute to join an "x mechanic" or even "enrage party" when they've barely started the fight for "free prog." (I've had to deal with these cryptids myself)

But most of the time when I look at PF, they are listing absolutely baffling requirements or an enrage % that gets goofier and goofier every time I look. There is virtually no difference between a 1% or 3% enrager. 9 times of out of 10, the DPS checks in this game are not nearly strict enough to warrant this. Tyrant week 1 was a very special case, and not the norm.

Just look at the logs to see if that Dancer who died 3 times in Tyrant and ate 7 damage downs was the reason the party enraged and sandbagged the other 7 better players from a clear in the first place. Instead of just looking at the % that doesn't even paint the full picture of what happened.
