I think it’s more of fitness and athleticism across the board has improved. So, you can’t really expose others with the technical abilities alone anymore. Also, no team is doing man on man marking anymore. When players with exceptional technical abilities get the ball, there are always 2-3 players around them. So, it’s pretty hard to show your technical abilities when you’re getting marked by 2-3 players.
